  • great classic movie

  • Watch the damn movie and shut up! You arguing types are so F'n dull!

  • Lilac floors! 'Not everyone is as "artistic" as you are'. Lol. I think she meant 'give me a break queen!'

  • Rock Hudson is such a gorgeous man!

  • Just a Taouch!

  • Good Ol' Vip!

  • m g i thought he was cary grant, he looks like him, but its not; i prefer cary grant; without doris day this movie would have been dead; rock its like a lamp-post.

  • AAAhhh the good old days when whites were the majority in the US. No ghetto blacks, latinos, third world trash and muslims. No ACLU, no political correctness, no rap and heavy metal and most importantly NO OBAMA. Wonder if those good old days will come back.

  • @calihartley2010 haha I know right! No Obama, the good old days should come back!

  • @DorisDaygirl97 Yes, Obama and the liberals have ruined the country

  • @calihartley2010 I wouldn't say that but I would say Obama did!

  • @DorisDaygirl97 I still say the liberals too.

  • @calihartley2010 I kind of agree

  • @DorisDaygirl97 Do a lot of research and then you will fully agree. Trust me.

  • @calihartley2010 I watch fox news

  • @DorisDaygirl97 Good, i am glad. I hope you become more conservative. I would expect that from a person who like me loves the good old days when the US was a great nation.

  • @calihartley2010 I still love USA! oh and I'm only 13

  • @DorisDaygirl97 That's good. you are smart for a 13 year old. I wish there were more smart kids like you. Please convert your friends and we can bring back the US to its glory days.

  • @calihartley2010 thank you! If only they would let me

  • @DorisDaygirl97 Well do it in a very subtle way. When you are young, that is the time when people can be won over.

  • @calihartley2010 haha yeah

  • THE SOUND TRACK IS MESSED UP, THE VOICES ARE NOT IN SYNC WITH THE MOUTH!!

  • Classic intelligent and subtle American comedy with a solid script, perfect acting, great editing,.. American comedy at its best! They rarely make them like that anymore - for more check: Man's favorite sport, Pillow talk, Come September (all with Rock Hudson). The Party (Peter Sellers) is another amazing comedy on a soundtrack of Henri Mancini.

Thank you for this video - a piece of our cinema history,

    L

  • Movies look like they were much more fun back then. lol

    Rock Hudson was Hot!

  • One of my favorites! Thanks for remembering Doris, she is a class act! :)

  • It use to be so much fun to go to the movies back then. Today it's all about the hype and not true comedy out there. I sure do miss the 60s :(

  • @babayabadabadu puppies - duh

  • Thanks for posting!

  • I have been laying on the couch sick as a dog- but this movie was good medicine! Thanx!

  • Thanks for uploading. I use have most all the DD movies on VHS, oh so long ago. I watched them so many time, I think I wore the tapes out. Another one I liked, though w/o Doris was "Man's Favorite Sport". "Lucky Me" was a good movie too, I use to have it on VHS, wish I still did. Robert Cummings was a favorite of mine and I thought he was good in that one.

  • I ALSO LOVE THE ROCK HUDSON/DORIS DAYPILLOWTALK ALSO

  • Is that the grandfather from "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory"? The guy playing Fred? 3:35

  • @kellyilla Yes, it is!

  • Why shouldn't married couples kiss like that? Couples need to realize that they are lovers before and after children. That is why married couples need to have dates, weekends to a bed and breakfast, occasional spur of the moment honeymoons, etc. My Mom and Dad were married for 52 years. My Mom had the upmost respect for my Dad who worked very hard all of his life. Peace.

  • What eveer happened to Edie Adams? Did she drop off the Earth?

  • What eveer happened to Edie Williams? Did she drop off the Earth?

  • Whaat is that on the chief worker Bee's head, in the opening scene!?

  • <3 this movie...

  • What kind of a good night kiss is that...we're not married....haha

  • Gay or not - I will always love Rock Hudson - although I was pretty devastated that he was gay.

  • thank you so much for this movie. I really like Rock Hudson. Im 23 and I love classic movies and stars. They really were STARS, today´s are just trash.

  • @001Broadway I know what you mean, Doris Day would NEVER intentionally expose herself (while getting out of a car, or anywhere else), that's why her hotel room scene with Rock's so "effective"!

  • I am 27 and i think older movies are better and have more class than todays trash

  • Ellie Mae Clampett and Alice

  • I love this movie and I love Doris Day! Thanks for sharing!!

  • "This is a worker." "And this is a Drone!" One of the best comedies on Advertising ever made!

  • goash, i'm so happy when i watch doris and rock together. they are just perfect together..

  • If I was a woman in the sixties, I would have slept with Rock Hudson, only with him

  • My Mom knew Rock was gay way before anyone publicly had a clue. She went to a B'way play way back when Rock was first getting popular. Rock came to see the play with a bunch of guys. My Mom said the whole audience was ooohing and ahhing and when she came home she said that man in gay. It was the way Rock and the other men were acting toward each other that she picked up on it.

  • love this one thanks

  • Holy smokes! The elevator operator is the guy who plays Donald, the boyfriend in the TV series, "That Girl!". I loved that show and had such a huge crush on Donald! He was cuuuuuute!

  • wow thanks so much for that! Amazing!

  • Her secretary is Alice the house keeper from The Brady Bunch. I love Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies.

  • @eljay345 Yes it seems as if all the top stars of the 1950s and 1960s ended up on the high and popular end of the 1970s televison before it became cable and rotted to the core. I am so appreciative that we were able to be introduced to such talent on regular television as I had not know that many of them in this film alone were on the silver screen. I did not know than Ann B. Davis was even in this movie until I did a double take on the opening credits. What great history!

  • lol - Hudson and Day were are great team

And I love the style of those days. But man, how things have changed. SOOOO sexist lol.

  • Thank you for uploading this movie!! this was the one that got me hooked into Doris Day 4 years ago!

  • I love the way these Shows would Start...You got the whole idea....Right away....No Heavy Thinking about the Plot....I' m Sick of Thinking when I watch a show...Just let it Happen...*...Just A Touch...*

  • I never noticed before, but the elevator operator was Donald on "That Girl"... how funny. :D

  • Excellent picture, thanks for sharing!

  • thank you very much for uploading this movie. in many ways these movies wher pretty modern compared to todays stuff. wonder where the conservatives where hiding back then

    :-))

  • Women looked like women then vs being in public in their pajamas that are dragging on the ground. Especially when you fly, just awful. I won't let my kids look like the bums of today. Too many moms working vs setting standards and actually cooking a meal.

  • @monorailred1 I TOTALLY agree with you!!!!!! Amen!

  • That's my dad in his army uniform standing behind the cab after Doris Day exists!

  • Daiseies5060, please post more Doris Day movies only, please, please, please. Thank you in advance, if you have any.

  • @AudieAsquared Doris Day is now 87 years young and she just released a new album. I think it's songs she recorded many years ago. She is a actress and singer who started in romantic comedies in the 1950's and 1960's. Doris Day's last film ' With 6 You Get Egg roll' was filmed in 1968. Sadly she never made a movie since and at her age she probably won't make another. Her leading men were Rock Hudson, James Garner and Jimmy Stewart to name just a few.

  • Outta sync.

  • Link doesn't work

  • This is the first Doris Day movie that I ever saw and the reason that I'm such a big fan of hers today. =)

  • "Assure her about high moral Charactre"....

"My condolences to your husband....it figures, well a husband would be a competition"...LMAO

  • Ted Bessell-(Don Hollinger,That Girl's boyfriend) is the elevator operator.

  • @BrandonTxOthor I know!!! i had to go back and pause it to be sure!!

  • The middle movie of the three Doris/Rock collabarations. All were great, but this may have been the best!

  • Ann B. Davis was Alice on The Brady Bunch. :D

  • Yes she was! =D

"Here's the story, of a lovely lady, who was bringing up two very lovely girls..." LOL

  • @scriptum60 I knew that was her! Haha!

  • @scriptum60 I love The Brady Bunch!

  • How can you not love those Rock-Doris classics

  • Agreed!! I love them =)

  • @ immuntocrap

I feel sorry for youth today being raised on mostly crap entertainment. : (

  • It's true, but the people make the culture so I think it says something about this whole generation.

  • You are so right but my kids love these old movies and old tv shows. That's about all we watch!

  • @scriptum60 I'm not,I'm 13, and I love Doris Day!

  • @immuntocrap someone must be stupid if they don't! I love their movies together!

  • This si still one of my all time favourite comedies...just next to Some Like It Hot !!!

  • Wow guys I'm so sorry that the sound is off!!! I believe it's only on the first part though, the rest seems fine! I will try to re-upload it and hopefully it will take care of the problem.

  • i love this movie but the sounds off (-_-); but thanks for putting it up

  • haha I love the way her voice comes out of his mouth perfectly, when they're mentioning the color "lilac" at 5:48 - 5:53 !! This is a really fun movie.

  • I love the double entendre that occurs after Doris's utterance, "...the most attractive can." (6:42 - 6:48) How funny! I haven't seen this for years. It is a shame that the audio does not match the video. Can it be corrected? Thanks so much for this post...I love Doris and Rock together.

  • Haha, I didn't pick up on that one, that's really funny. I wish I was better at picking out the double entendre's in old movies/ tv shows would be a lot funnier. Thanks!!!

  • This should be required viewing for all us Mad Men fans !

  • OOOOH... Rock is sooo handsome.. This is such a wonderful movie!

Well worth the watching! Doris has no equal!
