Man what I get from this video o urs is ur tryin to show off more than u teach ....I mean strumming pattern u wud add filler without actually mentioning it...
@XxXNupsXxX Hi - the tone is in the guitar and amp. I didn't do anything particularly special, just set the knobs to where it sounded good to me. This will vary by guitar and amp, so there isn't a recipe I can share, I'm afraid. You'll have to use your ears and tune it to your setup.
@maddio007 No, it isn't. You can play A major if you like, and it will sound OK but it changes the feel of the intro because it reduces the tension. These are the chords played in the original song.
@strumbringer wow....you speak English pretty good dude....I gotta agree, Indians are really good at music....me and my band are tryin' to incorporate this song into a portuguese version.....Vamanos !!!
@muffytin12 Assuming your guitar doesn't have too much of a bow in the neck, or too high action (both of which can be repaired by a good guitar technician), the key is to use gravity rather than pressure to apply the barre. hold the guitar with the neck tilting slightly towards you, then make sure that the strings that need to ring out in the barre are not near your finger joints, and allow the weight of your hand to press the strings down. Takes a little practice, but is a lot easier that way.
@phozon123 Thank you. I'm using a Boss GT-10 in this video. I've sold it since so I'm not sure what the exact settings were, but if I remember correctly I added a little bit of chorus and EQ to a Fender clean amp sim.
@jalrox123 I use "left hand muting" for this song, basically you loosen your left-hand grip, keeping all the fingers in place, when you want to mute the chord. The other technique is right-hand muting, where you touch your right hand palm (outer edge) to the strings to mute. AC/DC uses a lot of right-hand muting, but most acoustic guitar muting and chord muting (esp. on barre chords) is done with the left hand. Hope that helps!
@TheSquarerootof4 It's basically D-dU-Ud--DuD- where the capital letters are emphasized. In a couple places, he changes it up and emphasizes other notes. Basically the bar is divided so that there are some key beats: !--!--!--!-!- (If you divide the bar into sixteenths). As long as you emphasize those beats, you'll be fine. One key is to listen to the drummer and lock on to him.
this is just perfect i m trying hard and i hope this video works for me thanks a lot mate and keep contributing useful things like this ... ! (can u plzZ post a description of the different chords used and the notes u have played in the intro so that if the voice is not clear enough one can read the details and lear it more easily plz do put some of that)
@mianharisali2 No, I don't use a capo. I'm using my first finger as a barre across the 4th fret, though - like a capo, but just my finger. Look up barre chords for more info.
Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to pick up new material, but I'll see if I can get Sajni figured out, given how many requests I've had for it. It may take a while, though.
buddy, u have put a lot of effort to explain it in DETAIL..hats off to u for ur efforts buddy..still amazed at d no. of comments coming in...come on ppl that is something worth appreciation..cool buddy..5 stars and thumbs up for u.. :)
Should sound pretty close. The only place where it won't sound the same is the short distortion part at the end, but that sounds good on acoustic too.
The way I've laid it out is probably the easiest way, unfortunately. You can try playing the same chords in other positions and see if that makes it easier...
yar your middle finger is not on E its on B on which you are hammering!
007raza1 2 days ago
@007raza1 I meant the note, not the string. 5th fret on the B string is the E note; I'm hammering on the E (from a D#).

from where do you get the chords and notes? Or you listen to the song and make it yourself?

are they Major or Minor chords??
tayyebkhan 2 years ago
C#m = C# minor
B = B major
A = A major
B = B major.
Normally, if one just names the chord without the "minor" or "major", it's a major chord. If one adds an "m" at the end, it's a minor chord;

A: 6
