I can't believe the audience dared to hiss at Miss Piggy! Mind you, the poor Muppets had a really bad time in the Diana Ross episode because the audience booed, hissed and pelted them at every turn. They must have been so relieved to see the end credits roll.

If I were in that audience I would give those audience a peace of my mind so thay wiould understand that.

According to the intro, the audience was full of Diana Ross fans and they didn't want anything but her. Added to that, Statler and Waldorf were rating the Muppets against Diana throughout the episode and the Ross fans naturally didn't want the Muppets scoring one over Diana.

I realised that mistake too late.

Interesting that the audience at least didn't boo at the pigs and kept their hostile comments until the end.

If they had put Miss Piggy on, would the audience have dared to boo at her? Well if they had, and I had been Miss Piggy, I would have gone right over and given the audience the famous Miss Piggy chops! That'll teach 'em!

According to Brian Henson's intro to this episode, the audience seemed to hate EVERYTHING except for Diana Ross, because they were packed with Diana Ross fans.

Of course the show wont have the same quality-Jim Henson and some of ORINGINAL ACTORS that was on that show who gave those muppets QUALITY IS NO LONGER WITH US =(,or ever since THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER MOVIE came out, ALL the Puppet movies quality Failed from there-Something had changed HOW Miss Piggy would act,U dont see that BALD EAGLE BIRD as much, nor do U see that HUGE MONSTER GUY(guy in a costume as big as BIG BIRD,and seen in some of the MUPPET SHOW INTROS,but not as much in those movies!)
