Did you need to controle everymove of the goaler of just stay front the puck and he make the save himself ? ( i dont have nhl 09 on console yet i just want to know.. )

rottenz, the goalie will make a lot of saves just by standing in the right spot, with slight adjustments to the left and right. However if you are too far to one side, or the shooter goes for the 5-Hole, you can tap the right stick to reach over for a save, butterfly to the ice, or fall down for a desperation save. It works great, and is really fun. The whole game is a freaking blast honestly, i'm addicted to it!

Okay but do you control the stick, glove, etc? Or you only tap the right stick to butterfly and then slide to the left/right with your left stick and the goalie will get the glove out?

If your the goalie you make the save yourself. if you a skater it automaticly saves it. ( on computer) you press a key to butterfly to an area or to poke check or glove hand if the puck is on that side.

i swear they dont watch him at all before they make the game, he has a bare uniqu style so wide and low, and its a real same moan, but they dont even model his pads right, they have the crappy summit pads but never his response pads :(

yup its the little things man, i mean EA have done a brill job in making the game fun to play but its just the lil things like the ps3 and bluray there aint an excuess to not be able to model the correct masks and kit, or at least have an update opiton to download new jerseys, equipment and mask designs of the playstation store, maybe are rant should be emailed to EA

well, you don't control your skater during pre-game, but you do control the goalie when you play a game. you basically move with the left stick and save with the right (on x360) , althogh you can choose to ignore the right stick - if you're in position the goalie will attempt a save by itself.

I think that NHl 09 producers should put in the new goalie pads that come out. I love the new reebok that just came out(loungo) and the TPS that Lundquist wears this year and last year they were sweet
