I think you should call this an acoustic bass guitar not acoustic bass. I just saw a classical acoustic bass guitar and it sounds a lot better acoustically. It's a lot bigger and has an end pin like a cello or string bass. I think those would be better to record without a pick-up. This (smaller) bass guitars sound too much like a shoe box with strings. The frequency range is too small. Then if you use the pick-up they really sound like shit!!! Too much string/fret noise and too much midrange.
Saludos.
Yes, it looks like acoustic bass is as different from electric bass as acoustic guitar is from electric guitar - it inspires a different approach. There is more detail in the touch.
I must say friend, i Love your tone. Very nicely blended between an electric and acoustic tone. And your technique and stylelistic changes were awesome. How long have you been playing?
Do you have any recordings available? do you have any transcriptions available? There is no material available to learn this bass style. Would you consider writing some? thanks for such beautiful music
if you go to cash converters or is it genrator?,acoustic bass/elecrtic with bag strap, spare strings, plecs, for £60, just bought one for this price looks great plays superb.GED.
Lovely, really well played, very soft and flowing which is lovely, makes me think of Spain for some reason, good thing though, better wheather there lol, Nice job :)
Hi man, I think a good recomendation could be to understand the acoustic sound is a diferent thing from the plugged sound; so when testing an EAB at the store you should like the acoustic sound -who makes you feel happy to play at home- and like the plugged one, this is the sound you will use for playing with friends. And for that one, I recomend try close to amplifier and 4-5 meters from it.
I like to play with acoustic alike sound and that is why I use this mic, but there are important diferences between both, and bassplayers should know all those things and use them. (apologize my english)
Hi, Paul, thank you. These are GHS regular strings for regular electric bass, E-A-D-G and the C is GHS from guitar set, the 030 one. They recommend bronze strings but there are no EADGC sets. Then it is nice to play alone but it has not enough volume to play unplugged when playing with someone else.
Costs about 1000 EUR in Germany. That is why I bought the chinese made licensed copy for a quarter of the price: OB3CE from Olymbia by Tacoma. Check out my videos.
I love this video. I think I'll ask my parents for an acoustic bass for my b-day... They sound so sweet, especially this Tacoma with your amazing skills! Very nice video!
Nice comment! Sorry, I don't have tabs...maybe there are a pair of writtable ideas: a vamp for beguin, the final thing; the rest are improvisation around the standard form...
Now my Tacoma does sounds this way, well, i had to made some arrangements on it, the piezo installation was bad (apologize my english, hope understand). At the video, the sound is a mix from line and a microphone -a good one-.
what brand is that guitar, looking for a nice one for noe.
