no wouldnt fit in the chamber

it would not fit in the chamber because the camber on this gun is 6mm and the actual .45 bullet is much larger,also on the real steel 1911s the is a "lip" on the inside ofthe slid that catches the bullets rim when the casing is being ejected, this gun does not eject a casing which means no "lip" no ejection hope this helps, respectfuly KlauseWalther
