Thankyou for the lovely performance.I like your unhurried pace, your sure fingering, negligible, string noise.Mr. Bellinati would be hard pressed perform his own composition as well.
@troubleclef Ah... I can't wait to move back to Mass. Of course, I'm biased. Haha. On a more relevant note, your playing is beautiful! My father also plays the classical guitar, and I play the violin, and we play all sorts of duets whenever I go up there to see him.
Nice performance of a beautiful tune! I'm just becoming familiar with Bellinati's compositions. Years ago I purchased two volumes of Garato's music which were compiled (as I recall ...) by Bellinati. I also have heard his recordings of Garato's music, but was unaware of his own work. Thanks for this! BTW, Tony, do you play any of Garato's music? I know it would sound great in your capable hands..... Jack in San Diego
thanks, Jack. Yeah, I did "tristezas de um violão" by Garoto. it may show up on the 'related videos' panel of this here clip, or look for it in my channel. cheers.
Hi troubleclef....thanks for your response. Yes, I'd really like to post a version someday, once I get it polished. I've also been working on bits and pieces of "Valsa Brilhante" although it's way beyond my level to play it in its entirety. I feel like I need another lifetime to be able to learn how to play all this music I love! Anyhow, it's great to meet others like you who share the love of brazilian music and guitar...will look forward to hearing your next video! :)
Beautiful rendition...thanks for sharing. I'm working on this one right now. I believe the 'slowness' of it is deceptive because the more you dig into the song, the more the nuance and expressive elements of Bellinati are discernible (I'm learning it by ear), so it's a lot harder to play than it seems! And even with its bare bones of melody, what a gorgeous composition by Bellinati, eh? Timeless!
Deixo o desafio...rs. Abraços
Hi! I just subscribed but I have been listening your pieces for a long time now. I need to tell you that this one is the ultimate! Saw you subscribing fretkillr and I share your opinion on his "let it snow". Have a look at scribbletunes.
This is such a difficult piece: you've worked so hard (I guess) and your articulation and feeling are just excellent. I've seen Bellinati play this at close range, and you play it within a hair of his definitive performance!
You are terrific. I wish I could play like you. I can't... I know the hard work it develop talent like yours. I want to hear more of your work.... what a joy it is to hear you.
Hi Peo, yes there's a great place in the Village that's basically this woman's townhouse filled with classical guitars for sale. (just can't think of the name right now). it's pretty famous, though, if you ask around someone will know what you're talking about. have fun.
I think you should play "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. It really would work well with your style. just my opinion. by the way amazing guitar playing!
Very good, lot's of dedication and dicipline in your work but also talent. delightfully played, nice basspart, great melody, a very good composition executed greatly, thank you,Victor.
You always make it look so easy! For some of those spreads I would have to use one foot and both hands. So smooth, Senhor! Thank you so much for this.
yeah, there's a couple in there that made my hands hurt for sure. i found while learning this piece that i could only dedicate a half hour a day to it without getting too much pain

Beautiful as usual! Is that sleeve used to prevent your arm from not moving freely? I just played a gig outdoors and it was 95 degrees, hot and humid and I had a cloth over the top of the guitar in the area of the right arm, but this looks like it might be better. Thanks!
