  • FIGHT ON!!! USC TROJANS.

  • as a life long notre dame fan, i'm not gonna lie, that loss cut deep. i was happy for the navy boys pulling out a big win, but it hurt.

  • Great job! Wow! Could the 2007-2008 school year be the year where Navy ends two huge losing streaks against a rival in two different sports? That is, against Notre Dame in football after 43 seasons and against Hopkins in lacrosse after close to 40 seasons. So far, Navy is halfway there! Wouldn't it be awesome and almost historic in the history of college sports if it happened?

  • Watching this pep rally brings back memories. Navy had a GREAT football team during my years there (1975-79). More than halfway through the season our FIRST loss was against Notre Dame. I was at that game. Watching Navy beat Notre Dame and doing more-with-less was tremendous. Why Notre Dame didn't kick a field goal on 4th down, from the 24-yd-line, I'll never know.

  • yeah, my dad went to Navy (I go to West Point to spite him) and played football, class of 1980. I have never seen him as happy as he3 was after this game. it was great to see them win.

  • crank that soulja boy :]

  • easy for you to say. too bad Navy doesn't have the recruiting ability of a storied program like Notre Dame. you're talking about a team that is objectively slower, smaller, weaker, and less talented than a team that consistently has one of the best recruiting classes every year.

  • it doesn't matter what ND's record is individual almost all of ND's players through the 3rd string have more talent than any one Navy player. and thats not a slight to Navy its a complement to ND's success as a university and football program. so a smaller weaker team was victorious on saturday night by sheer desire and power of will.

  • something you probably lack... that game proved whats right about football "on any given day, any team can win" heart is what matters! Navy's players don't go on to the NFL by and large, they go to war. remember that...

  • Congrats to Navy for beating Notre Dame! What a team effort! Navy just wouldn't quit and believed they were going to win the whole time. Paul Johnson is an all-time great coach, and there is no coach in College Football History who is a better example of doing "more with less" than Johnson. Amen?

  • Amen.

  • Amen, brother. I'm following you around YouTube "amen-ing" you. :]

  • Ok buddy, why don't you go build a football team and recruit some high school kids. Tell them that football will become a secondary concern in their lives. Tell them that they'll be taking the same engineering, math, and science courses as everyone else at your school, and that they'll be competing for grades with some of the brightest students in the country. Tell them they won't have a chance at pro ball because after they graduate they'll be bound to the military for at least five years.

  • Tell them they'll be sent around the world and into harm's way during a time of war. Tell them that to even have a chance at getting into your school, they must be recommended by a congressman, senator, or the President. Tell them that their college summers will not be spent partying, but on ships and submarines stationed around the globe.

  • Oh, and tell them that to stay in, they must run a 10:30 mile and a half each semester, pass 200m, 400m, and 1400m swimming tests, and jump off a 10m (30+ft) platform, amongst other tests. Then take that team, and in the few spare hours they have a week for football, turn it into a D-1 team that can make it to bowl games 6 years straight and contend with programs such as Notre Dame's. Can't do it? Well, we can, and that is why we celebrate.

  • well said! couldn't have put it better!

    GO NAVY! BEAT NOTRE DAME!

  • Hm, if ND were an armed forces academy, I would find your argument legit. Regardless, you are comparing apples and oranges. Now, my Dad was an ND grad. He went 20 years into the Army, retired major, Started 2nd Lt. Before you label me as a defeatest Liberal, I believe it would be wise to get your facts straight. Thank you, U.S. Naval Academy, for all of your hard work and sacrifice. Other than that, go Irish

  • what time did this happen in T-Court? missing this almost wishes I was there and not partying in South Bend
