  • Accompanementy Mozart Concert 1/2/3/4/+rondo MP3 /site/google/zaharoffmusic/

  • Wonderful.

  • well. playing this for solo and ensemble

  • I can't help but wonder if it's right to make ad money from Mozart...

  • lol high quality suree

  • Something so alleviating about this kind of music... Amidst all the chaos and diversity of modern music, it's good to hear a genre that can be so relaxed and well stated.

  • Comment removed

  • I think it is funny how people comment on youtube videos about how great they can play the horn. Anyone can play notes on the page but it takes a real musician to make it music

  • I can't wait to play this as my recital piece for my music class. It sounds so peacefull

  • I can't wait to play this as my recital piece for my misic class. It sounds so peacefull

  • I cant beleive what I was missing.I have just recently "discoverd" classical music and man I wish I had started listening to it long ago.thank u Mozart!

  • With vibrato like that it has to be Peter Damm

  • i play this a tiny bit faster. i like to feel it in one.

  • @jjmm47 i ment in 2

  • the 2 measures of 16th notes are still kinda hard :P

  • playing this as my first solo :)

  • beautiful. playing it as my last performance at solo and esemble competition in a week and a half.

  • Beautiful piece of classical music, also I admire all you guys for playing an orchestral instrument (minus the arrogant a2abigs), it's impressive!

  • it's "prodigy" not "protege" so clearly the music skills do not extend to the english language.

  • Mozart wasn't a virtuose. He was a fantastic virtuose

  • Do you know the horn player in this recording?

  • Hooray for this being part of my solo

But o boy for all of the practicing I'm going to have to do

  • @a2abigs being cocky like that isn't going to get you anywhere. I'm a freshman, and I could most likely play this too. But I don't consider myself a "French Horn protege." jeez...

  • i like the noises at 1:23 :) this song is soooo peaceful i love it!

  • i played this in 8th grade at a solo contest and placed 1st, i recently found out a senior in my high school auditioned for college with this solo and made it in too. Either im a french horn protege or you guys all suck

  • @a2abigs Firstly: really, you're a "french horn protege"? do you know what "protege" means?

Protege: a person whose welfare and career are looked after by an influential person. (Oxford Dictionary) You must mean Prodigy. learn your English.

Second: Nearly every Horn player in the world plays all four of Mozart's Horn Concertos more than once in their life. Maybe you "played" it, But you're (or were) only in grade 8, and you likely "played" it as such.

Saying you're better won't make you so.

  • @a2abigs dude I'm playing this for a solo and I'm a freshman. it's not hard so don't go telling ppl ur a "protege" cuz they will just laugh at u like I did. the reason the senior probably played it to get in college is because it is a very respected piece of music, not because its super hard

  • @a2abigs ignorant idiot ..

  • @a2abigs i played this in 6th grade and won 1st place too. now, im at a music academy and i still play it at recitals. it was a required piece at the audition to get in the academy. its just a popular piece of music written by one of the greatest composers. doesnt matter how easy or hard it is, as long as it sounds beautiful.

  • .. I have to do this for my exam at RCM

  • is he using vibrato? ooohhh...... risque. i would get killed for even using a hint of vibrato.

i am in a brass band, alongside horn, so i am swayed towards saying it works here....

  • @pilchard96 who the fuck does give a damn about that?

  • @TerpinTaft all the people i play with hate vibrato on horn as a matter of principal - im not saying that a seasoned professional shouldn't use it when it sounds good and fits with the style of music, but.....

it just doesnt fit with the way i have been brought up playing-wise

and i speak a little german aswell ;)

  • I'm currently lerning this as a solo, so much fun to play and sounds beautiful! <3

  • Jaaa das ist gut!!

    Schon!

    :]

  • @TerpinTaft come down man... just listening and give a **** on those comments...

  • This is an amazing horn player, wow :)

  • It's interesting that Mozart preferred the keys of D and Eb for horn instead of E and F...I tend to agree with Mozart's ear on this one - an F horn is voiced just a little higher than I would consider aesthetically ideal. The D horn might be a little tougher to play well but the voicing is more balanced IMO.

  • Who is the hornist?? Vicente Zarzo???

  • Who is the cornist?

  • Does someone know who is playing that? (Orchestra, Soloist, Conductor)

Because it's hard to find a version of this excellence.

  • too fast so out of tune

  • @44jesusfreak4 Hello, 'out of tune'? Which tune were you listening to? Try again...

  • @plumbob553 i can avtually and i have played it and sorry it isn't really that out of tune i was listing with bad ear phones that were screwed up but it is too fast

  • @44jesusfreak4 oh shut up

    like you could play that

  • Working on this for my solo performance piece this year. Got 8 weeks to learn it from nothing, so wish me luck!

Really glad I was able to find a horn solo/accompanied piece that was in my range, as I've only been playing for about a year now. (Started with flute about 5 years ago)

  • @XavierAliatos Co-incedental, I am learning to play the flute, but I adore the rich sound that comes from the french horn. Didn't you like the personal tone of the flute? I would be interested in the reason that you changed instruments.

  • @plumbob553 Actually, the rich sound of the horn was one of the main reasons I switched. The other was that everyone in the advanced band class has to learn a second instrument, so I decided on the French Horn. It's been pretty good to me since, except for how the school only owns one double horn (what I'm used to playing), and the single horn is a lot different to play...

  • @XavierAliatos Horn is one of the best instruments to study if you want to be forced to think 'outside the box.' More than any other instrument, horn repertoire developed and evolved around the natural (valveless) horn, so you'll have to learn about things like the harmonic series, hand horn technique, and multiple transpositions. Understanding the horn requires an active and eager brain!

  • im playing this for solo and ensemble

  • @DarkKnight6464 good luck!!!!!!!!

  • @weareshortandgreen yeah... it is next tuesday and i have a lot of work on it still, plus im getting an orthoscopy on my knee the same day

  • Please look up Jacek Muzyk for horn concertos. He is awesome. This sound for this horn one sounds flat.

  • I'll be playing this for my grade 5 exam, at some point this year. It's beautiful, as long as I'm not the one playing it. XD

  • I'm doing this piece, the Allegro Rhondo section for my level 5 NYSSMA solo

  • Thank You.. Jehovah God for W.A.Mozart

  • This is the slowest, most pensive of Mozart's horn concertos. I am not particularly fond of it. It sounds laborious, not at all the impish Mozart we have come to love. Compare this to his 1 or 4--vibrant, vivacious. May be he was depressed when he wrote this one.

  • Wow! you have a very narrow comprehension of Mozart's music if you think this piece sounds "laborious".

  • hmmm sounds subdued, but not sure about depressive

  • Thank you for posting :)

Actually, I'm gonna listen this on a concert tomorrow, and the conductor is Seiji Ozawa!! yay!!

  • Playing this for my grade five and also in my orchestra. Love listening to it.

  • luv listening to them while studying :D

  • me too that's what i am doing now

  • @winseeeee agreed. it relax my senses, love it

  • I'm never gonna be that good. ):

  • @BabbyThief you play french horn!?!?!

  • How does the horn player get such a beautiful tone?!?

    This is a wonderful piece!

  • @FrenchHornMaster practice

  • thanks so much for these beautiful classic music it really helps with studying.

  • Oh. That is the second part. Sorry!

  • When does the second part start? I have to play the second part in an audition and would like to listen to it. :)

  • beautiful !!!

  • Very nice song, thank you so much for posting!

  • This is one of my college audition pieces. I'm looking forward to playing it.

  • for christs sake name the horn player!

  • I played this = )

  • that is very beautiful concert. i played that

  • Good luck to you UrNotReallySorry next week ^^

  • I am in 8th grade this year and I play Horn. My Band Director told me to look this up on Youtube to see what it sounds like (cause she wants my to play it for Solo & Ensemble this year) I don't know if I can play this well!

    :)

  • you can if you put your mind to it and love what you are doing

  • you'll be great

  • im sure you will do good i you havnt already gone... I remember when i was in 7th gr my teacher wanted me to do a solo (I play flute) and i didn't rly practice that much i listened to it a lot though and it really helped me with rythms and notes and dynamics and stuff. So just a little piece of advice listen to it and finger along and the play it in front of a mirror to yourself a couple times and you will do good. wow u must be a really good horn player.

  • How this ... soothes...

  • creep

  • im telling you man, like hand lotion.

  • Horn as in french horn?

  • Yea... I'm performing this concerto next week :)

  • performing this in november!! not as well as that though.......

  • These are such virtuosic masterpieces in a compositional sense. After hearing Brain play it was nice to hear more nice versions.

  • i love it

  • The soloist is John Ericson, i have a record of him playing this, and he's my lesson teacher.

  • I feel kind of nerdy that I'm listening to this while writing about the Hotchkiss-McManus Periodic-Acid Schiff Reaction for fungus on my computer. ;)

  • Similar to regular PAS, Polysaccharides present in the fungal cell walls are oxidized by the periodic acid to aldehydes. The aldehydes react with Schiff reagent to yield rose colored Fungi.

So many red lines appear under words I haven't misspelled . >=-(

  • You know, you really are a NERD, you know that, don't you?

  • Precisely my predicament. I concur

  • Sorry, but we don't really want to know about your report on something that involves a fungus. I think I speak (type) for everyone in this opinion.

  • To each his own, I actually find one should learn about any and all things. Take those comments as a lesson and enjoy broadening your horizons.

  • oh my god, I'm just a beginner at them nylon strings in the guitar. (and i must admit i'm a blues guy).....................Only one man could compose this.,, but i love this horn!!!

  • I love this horn solo!! I played it last year when i was 14 and it was super easy. I just love the way the melody and the harmony fit perfectly together.

  • You can't play a horn any better than this

  • classical music like this is really relaxing and it actually helps study for languages! it said so it the independent! So people put on some classical music and get an A in languages! btw i dont normally listen to classical music but its actually alright :D

  • Was zum?

Btw: Great performance. Do you know who played this?

  • studierst du etwas musik? wenn ja, dann bin ich echt überrascht..,.

  • could that be herman bauman?

  • I have to play the second movement for my French Horn Grade 5 :S It's a bit hard lol

  • classical music actually expands your mind more, than the modern stuff...............

  • May I request that you add some more songs to your play list!!?? This is absolutely wonderful!! So relaxing and beautiful - great to turn on for study time in the dorm room!! Lovin it!!

  • AGREED. I'm actually writing a paper in the library now, trying to block out this one horribly loud dude on his cell phone. =/

  • i'm playing this for my solo this year!!!

  • good luck :)

  • I sit here in England and play it on the tenor horn

    Argh,, frightened

  • Beeaauuuutiful!!!!!

  • thats right!

  • Absolutely marvelous..

  • Excellent!

  • Sublime...

  • Is the soloist dennis brain?

  • I don't think so, I have a recording of him doing it, and he doesn't put so much vibrato on the notes. Whoever it is though, sounds gorgeous! I just played this in Europe with my orchestra. Love the piece.
