Squeenix did mess alot of things up, but they also produced a few good quality games as well.

Now this music is some of the best fight music I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I remember many times I'd get into a fight then set my DS down nearby while I made something to eat.

The battle music took Radiant Historia to a new level, once you know how to use the "Change"command you can preform powerful chain attacks that will destroy your enemies when you need it most. Raynie's poison attacks are very effective to use. Eruca's magic attacks are very strong. The "Mana Bursts"are very cool to use in boss battles and large groups of enemies.

God, I LOVE this game. It may be frustrating sometimes because of the complicated storyline(s), but it's totally worth it; I love the characters, the story, the gameplay, the music~ It's just amazing! <3

To be fair, i really liked kingdom hearts birth by sleep, probably my new favorite of the series followed closely by kh2. Although i do agree for the most part SE has been lacking lately, kh:bbs is the only game of theirs that i have played lately that wasnt a remake or port that i could wholeheartedly recommend to others.

Just to clear some things up guys. This game is a new IP developed not by Square Enix, but ATLUS.

in the last few years atlus proved that a few times so i doubt any one will flame you for that

though they're games aren't bad (and they are pretty good) SE isn't the king of jrpgs any more in terms of quality while atlus is only getting better and better

I'll have to get this game now.

I was thinking only forward to the 3DS, then I noticed this game today, and looking around I realized I was interested in 4 DS games in merely the first 4 months of the year.

Such a great system.

And if you ask me, SE's best work in the last two or three years was, also on the DS, The World Ends With You. Which I suppose appeals more to a niche, but I greatly enjoyed it.

@BlackMageZake Square Enix has been running too many of its series into the ground by releasing spinoffs that throw the story all over the place (Kingdom Hearts, FF7) and they've been pumping out FF games like no tomorrow just because it's a household name that will sell, no matter how bad of a game it is. i agree square soft and enix were better companies by themselves, i'd rather wait a long time for a quality game as opposed to getting a bad game every 2 months

Some titles have been quite legit though. Crisis Core and Dissidia were still damn good. WHat IS hurting the series right now is the MAINLINE giving us problems. XIII and XIV were pretty disappointing in comparison to the previous era.

Really looking forward to this game. Stocke seems like a good main character to be in the control of. You're not some teenage noob, you're either a master spy or soldier in the Rosch Brigade.

What's strange is that Square used to have good protagonists, back in FF4-6, who were older, more experienced and likable. I hope they end this trend soon and return to the older style. (I mean really, their protagonists in X and XII have to be some of the most hated RPG characters ever).

@NTBXP1 I don't have that kind of info. I'd have to know what the overall budget for the game was, and how much it sold. I'm not sure if that's common information to get or not. I'd like to think, between Japan and US it got a profit of some kind.
