  • Strong chicks rule

  • Nice work..

Now do 1 chinup that takes 1min up and 1min down :D

  • I like that you're using good form and not cheating yourself from having strength, way to go!

  • awesome job way to push yourself to the limit!!! check my page i just made a video!!!!!

  • You're just ruining the chinups with chicken head movements.

  • Awsome , i love it when i see a girl do that

  • great work.

  • Excellent form, well done:)

  • not really good form

  • now those are chin ups

  • is this in newquay?

  • @wattsy284: yep, Tretherras! I'm not there any more though.

  • o mann id face fuck the SHIT OUT OF YOU

  • like !

  • good job

  • Thats some pretty amazing form, good job

  • god im so shit at chin ups lol

  • lol i did one and the bar riped off, 1/2 was 312 at the time, now im 285 and can do 1 and a half, if i drop to 180 ill probly do 40

  • dam nice. i just start doing this. its freakin hard men. my first try was 3 (arm all the way straight down going up)

  • i started about three months ago and can do 20

  • This is the proper way on how to do chinups, Ive seen guys your age "try" to do this but they dont notice their arms are semi locked, they should be fully locked and chin above the bar as shown in this vid, good job

  • agreed excellent job, huah!

  • Good Going keep it up.

  • awsome keep up the good work

  • nice form, what's your max now?

  • nice work chica!

  • this sounds like evanescence but what song is this

  • Very good Strength. Keep going babe!

  • cool !!

  • I'm a bloke but can't even do these! lol

  • they are chin ups...

  • ur dumb those are chin ups.. pull ups are harder...

  • harder for beginners. But at higher lvl, chin ups and pull ups present different type of challenge. someone doing pull ups cannot chin a very high load as it will tear his biceps.

  • not if you drink your milk and eat your eggs.

  • you got the point lmao

  • damn i can only do 3 and im a dude, she can whip my ass in a fight.

  • Good job. Now what you can do is increase those max out sets to two in a row, rest for 5 min, then go again. Thats what i do with mine and ive developed heaps of strength using that principle. Good video, its nice to see a video worth watching on youtube that isnt complete crap.

  • I'm at 11 too, nice job. Doesn't it feel great to one up most guys?!

  • Nice! 11's where i'm at as well. Plus the song kicks ass. go muse

  • well this is the first perfect pull ups video on youtube for sure

  • fuk me your a brute

  • You go girl !!

  • god damn!! you are smooookin!!!

    keep it up

dont stop till ya hit 100 in a row! JK

  • How about a new video of your best at chinups and pushups now?

  • good job, keep up the good work with your training.

  • Excellent job. Keep it up.

  • hey im william

    i occasionably do chinups too

but im not sure if i do them correctly

can i show u a video of me and my friend doing chinups and u see if we are doing them correctly ?

    =D

  • Good going!!! Here the girls dont even get one done! Actually you did more than most of the guys I know!!:D 5/5 stars!!!

  • Congrats for a woman you're very good in chin up:!!

  • Congrats. Impressive.

  • Great job and form! Always go for the last one where you fail. It stimulates the muscle to grow the most. Even if all you can do is hang halfway up for a while, that helps too!

  • 不主张女人做引体向上,这不是练胳膊,而是练背阔肌,会把背练得像男人那样宽,而且这样练的结果会使胳膊看上去很短,很难看。

  • Nice and slow

    Great Job!

  • You've been posted and bigged up on the blog. Nice work!!!

  • Thanks matey!

  • @Gubernatrix fake

  • That's what I like to see. I have never seen a women on the pull up bar in my gym. In fact, I've only seen a handful of men do as well as you. So that tells you that you are one in a few.

  • Wonderful! Great form - I didn't notice the elbow bend thing, I wouldn't fret over it :) Please post as you continue to improve - can 15 be far away? :))

    nasguy

  • Perfect form... And may I add, most girls cant do even one proper pull-up, impressed. But I miss a biceps flex at the end;)

  • Thanks but I have been verbally slapped (and rightly so) for the slight elbow bend! I'll have to do another one with absolutely straight arms.

  • To be a hardbody you dont have to be that hard on yourself... You did well, chin up:))

  • To be a hardbody you dont have to be that hard on yourself... You did well, chin up:))

  • Ha ha, cheers!

  • Congratualtions!!!

  • omg..i'm a guy and can only do 13. Good work

  • Superb .. just starting training these three weeks ago and was extremely pleased with 5RM .. your 11RM is simply outstanding!

  • Excellent. You could have done the 12th but would have ended up cheating too much. Kudos. You have integrity. You're a stud!

  • Thank you - yes, can't really get away with that much use of the knees, in all honesty!

  • Why getting away of the knee/leg elevation? You're not lifting with your knees at all you're just balancing the weight cause the leverage is changing through the exercise.I do chins exactly that way,I think that's the natural form, if I don't balance with the legs I start swinging a lot.

  • I hadn't thought of it that way! I guess I would just have to be careful that lifting the knees wouldn't result in too much momentum being generated.

  • @carlotapuig i agree much more comfortable when crossing the knees

  • @carlotapuig

Gravity will make sure your center of mass is below the bar regardless of how you bend your knees or not. Bending knees makes it easier if the bending is done in the middle of a rep.

Also; awesome job, gubernatrix - i'm surprised and impressed (most chin/pull-up vids on youtube display crap form but yours does not)

  • @Jouwl hi, biomechanics are way more complicated that only center of mass below some point at some moment. e.g. if you swing forwards and backwards without control you lose a lot of your strength just to compensate those forces

  • @carlotapuig

Perhaps, but there are ways to minimize swinging, so it can be neglected.

  • Nice work, I love Muse, hang in there, and just keep pulling

  • Yeah, roll on 20!

  • Great form, gutsy effort.

Would I be right in saying that you have made a big improvement in the last few months.

Are you training towards a goal?

  • Thanks! Yes, I have focussed on strength training over the winter so have made progress. As summer kicks in, I will be spending more time on outdoor pursuits/extreme sports and less time in the gym. However, I'd like to start competing in powerlifting at a regional level this year.

  • Wow extreme sports and powerlifting!

    You are one tough chick.

    What sports do you do?

  • Surfing, rock climbing, coasteering and skateboarding mainly. Also "normal" sports like running, cycling, swimming, rowing etc.

    How about you?

  • Flawless!!!

  • Awesome stuff Sal.

    Keep it up :)

  • Great work!
