You know what? Here - If some people are so against eating natural and free range meat, then they should follow that criteria fully. Go out into the Jungle / Savanha and stop each animal from eating another. Just like we don't "need meat," a lion doesn't "need meat" either. You can drop protein supplements for all of them. Go change nature to protect all of those "cutey innocent aminals."
I shot a dove, I hit it right in the head but it looked like it died instantly, it didn't even move, but then I realized that the bird was still alive, why are they hard to kill? I've shot other birds and they die instantly.
@profpoon this video is pretty particular and not easy to stumble upon. You had to have looked up a dove hunting video, just to comment on it. I'm sorry but I doubt any of these people care about your opinion. I know I dont
@profpoon I can't watch youtube videos about hunting anymore - all of these comments are ridiculous.
This is fucking "free range meat!" The only logical argument for vegetarians is that most meat was inhumanely treated. This is what even a logical vegetarian would say is OK. How squeamish and sensitized have all of these 12 year old american girls become that they are disgusted by the notion of eating "an innocent animal." This is pathetic
@GPNYishai What is most amazing is just how unnatural it is for the human species to avoid meat all together. Not to mention this form of "harvesting" is infinitely more humane than any slaughterhouse.
@OdinsCloud You hit the nail on the head. Some people hide behind the notion "humane treatment," but all they really want is, "don't show me anything "yukky." Once you start becoming humane (like Edgun), they begin to lose their cover and have nothing more than to just say (NO THE CUTE WITLLE AMINALS)
When i was little, i would always wonder what was making that sound (the bird calling). But i could never figure it out. Anyway, nice video as always Ted.
I was reading the DEC page online, and it said that there were more then enough to be hunted, but in a recent poll, only 47 percent said that they would hunt Mourning Dove. For that reason we have no Mourning Dove hunting season in New York. I would certainly hunt mourning dove, they look delicious!
Hi, I don't know much about cameras so can you tell me which of these is the one on your gun? Camera - Casio EX FC150 and Panasonic DMC TS1
also, have you ever eaten a ring-neck dove or a common pidgeon? Would you eat one if you had the chance? How do you feel about shooting and eating a dove that lives in a city and perhaps eats spoiled food/garbage that it finds on streets or in garbage cans?
@waldemar1765 Das ist nicht ein Arschloch du gefunden, es ist Ihre vaginen. Jetzt erhalten Sie Ihre Hände weg von dort, sonst wirst du Gott zum Weinen zu bringen.
@iPhYzIk It was Google - and I'm sure it was very poor. I have a lot of German blood running through my veins, but I have lost my roots with the "Motherland". By the looks of all the nasty comments I get from German people (not you, "burstintofire", or ZwergpiratXXL, of course), I am glad to live in a country that is much less hostile to hunters. So, I'm glad my great grandfather got on the boat 100 years ago. :)
@EdgunUSA Of course it was very poor ;) People that are unfriendly and stuff are just a shame for every country. Germany is still suffering under the prejudices that some countrys have to us. Especially the USA and sadly Spain aswell. So many americans called me a Nazi just because i live in Germany. Even to wear emblens or codes like "88" or "SS" is/are stricly forbidden here. Still dont know why those countrys are teached that bad.
@EdgunUSA i am from germany and my father is a hunter. when he went for hunting 30 years ago everyone in my town was very positive and wanted to know what he did shoot and they congratulated him for that.
today many people compare hunters to murderers.
crazy world we are living in. everyone wants to eat meat but no one wants to be responsible for the killing of the animal.
@Kpa1983 Your country (Germany) has undergone a significant "shift" in thinking in the past 30 years - more than any other country, I think. Germany used to be a country of hunters. Now, the people want meat on the plate, but do not want to "feel responsible". German people eat a lot of meat, but the laws and culture oppose hunting. The young generation has become completely disconnected from their food. This is both sad and potentially dangerous, in my opinion.
@EdgunUSA Well that actually was some extremely poor German but that idiot right there still thinking "aww asshole hunting birds!!111" truely is an idiot
Good Shoots for the future Edgun. Your explanations are very interesting. Keep making more Vids in this style and let the hater hate. I bet 80% of them are eating meat from animals, which wasn't half humanly killed like you do.
Soweit ich ihn verstanden habe, hält er Masturbation für eine Sünde im biblischen Sinne. Wie er nach deinem Kommentar darauf kommt, enzieht sich allerdings meinem Verständnis :P

1:55 that bird call... when i was younger during the summer i used to hear birds like these... but they sounded a bit more high pitched... and sorta like a cat... anyone know what im talking about...

I absolutely love hunting morning doves, they are so tasty! It's kind of funny when I'm not hunting them and I just see them up on a wire somewhere cooing at me, taunting me. They are definitely wiley birds, and unfortunately the last two years hasn't really been good hunting where I usually hunt these guys. I do see a ton of waxwings in my area though. When I see them from far off, I have to make sure it's a waxwing and not a dove before I go sneaking over there. Keep up the awesome videos.
i use a .22 cal airgun with iron sites 800fps i make some good shots however my brother has a .177 cal at 1200 fps also a perfectly zeroed scope my kill ratio is always higher!!
here in Albuquerque, the Eurasian collared doves have taken over also. The native Mourning Doves have been slowly dwindling.....and the Mexican White-wing doves have started showing up in larger numbers. I dont mind the White-wings, but those Eurasian are just terrible. Good Hunting!
Thanks Ted, You have inspired me to get into the sport of hunting with an airgun! I would Just want you to know that you are a great inspiration to me, and other young shooters!
PS. I cokked up some Dove the other day with your recipe and man was it ever good!
I really hate doves they poop in my cband that I still use plus when I killed them I leave the carcass so stray cats eat them and they get lead poisoning and die.
hi i am really impressed by your marksmanship i am also in to shooting but i cant seam to be able to ajust it properly i have 3-7X20 tasco scope and a daisy powerline 35 air rifle so i was wondering if u could please email me with some help at cowpower.zafar@gmail.com p.s i know the emil sound wierd but thought it was funnny at the time :)
Fantastic shoot especially at 3:55 at slow motion you could actually see the pellet flying straight to the chest in between the verticle cross hairs!!! Nice country side as well especially the barns they are so beautiful...don't get that from where I come from :(
@mattiiceful So you think it's just to kill another human for killing a bird that depends on predatory population reduction to maintain number stability? Interesting logic...
just to add one thing: with technique #1, its important to know/remember that this is fine for an air rifle, but for a real rifle, its not the best idea to put the gun/barrel directly against the tree. when the charge goes off, and the gun is under recoil, it will actually recoil away outward and back, away from the tree a bit. on a longer shot, this could make the difference. rather than pinning the gun against the tree, put your hand against the tree, and cradle the gun/barrel with your thumb.
Great videos. I have watched them all. Going to make a few of my own. Have a RWS 48, Casio zr100, and a Hawke 6x24 44mm. Questions. What are some of the quietest guns? Do copper pellets show up better on the video? Do springers vibrate yo much for good video quality. Keep killing invasive species. Thanks in advance. :-)

@Suuriorava ure more likely to miss than anything, plus they are dead just as fast and feel just as little when he shoots properly

if you kill birds i'll kill you!!!
mattiiceful 3 weeks ago
