Being able to lift your vehicle up and over obstacles with hydrolics is no different that winching all the way to the top. I'll stay with my old jeep. We either make it over or we find a way around. We never use the winch to say we made it. Only to get out of an impossible situation which I never should have put us in in the first place.

@Gunzshow55312 It runs on electric that requires a HUGE diesel engine to run a HUGE generator to supply electric to the drive line so guess what....It runs on diesel!!! All vehicles have 100's of electric motors that do dozens of tasks but it takes a liquid fuel burning ENGINE to make them work. When a train runs out of diesel fuel,it sputters to a stop.

I prefer piston power over electric... However, electric motors really do give more torque at an instant. I can't see why you are arguing over it, as the motor type could probably be changed to suit the driver. But, i'm sure we can all admire the main functions of this machine and the fella who built/designed it.  I'm not an easily impressed guy, but this kind of concept could (one day) completley change the way we drive. This machine can crawl like a spider... and spiders can get anywhere!

@jasa2345678910 Smooth power is kinda essential for rock climbing. Electric motors have the smoothest on/off power possible. Electric motors is where it's at for this type of racing. And as an electric power source with way more range than what we have now become available.. The slow-ass gasoline cars of today will seem silly. Electric motors are insanely powerful compared to gas. Just look at the state of RC cars these days. Nitro (fricken NITRO) is slower than brushless electrics.
