guys the trainer is doing that on purpose. he's fine it trains your defense, so when some one kicks or punches at you the teepe sends them flying back. trust me he's not just being a dick

As you can see the Newtonian understanding of the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration, it is clear that heavier dudes kick harder if the kick is the same speed. That's what it all depends on. Your mass doesn't change during a kick, so you kick harder when your leg moves faster.
Badr Hari can kick hard because he has good technique.
badr hari wasnt always a heavy dude he was pretty skinny in the past he gained weight during the years but guys that are natural bigger are natural slower(not all)i know that of experience
@meltingmarshmallow8 But it depends. Someone who weighs four times as much can move half as fast and be twice as powerful as you. Big guys are only slow when they don't do enough speed training. They also get tired faster, though. That's one factor why a bigger person might kick a little slower, in order to keep from burning themselves out.
@57worldwide Well said...as a former super heavy weight (I fought at 225) I conserved the speed on my kicks for when it really counted, but as a heavy weight, they had to deal with EVERYTHING I threw, or they'd regret ignoring it. My hands, never an issue...I didnt have to conserve nearly as much. Also, I was slow...until my instructor told me he demanded I reached my genetic speed limit...and demanding he was.
@toddymo Punching efficently is not as tiring as kicking; kicking efficiently, in my opinion, has more to do with accuracy.
The point I was making was that a very heavy person, especially if they aren't top heavy, doesn't need to kick fast to be powerful. The top level Heavyweight strikers usually do kick quite fast, not just for their size. Strength and technique - without one, the other is not as effective. Just look at Bob Sapp.
