I believe this bike is Zündapp by its engine and forks.
This uniforms to me look like RAD work uniform, the sidecap design resembles a RAD item I have seen. RAD had some unusual work uniforms and some do appear Russian, they were not as typical Wehrmacht uniforms, they had different pants and work-coats. But I cannot be 100% certain, as the photo is old with imperfect detail. If so, I make stupid mistake, but this is OK, a surprise image for Russian admirers, but I assume it is German :)

I believe USSR bought or was given some designs from Germany/BMW ca. 1940, before hostilities, and these led to Ural design as well. I admire this style of bike greatly.

I´ve owned BMW motorcycles since l969 and now have a l951 R-67, which was the first twin cylinder 600 cc BMW was allowed to manufacture after the war, and which am restoring, also a l967 R-27 also restoring, a running 1966 R-60 and am about to buy a l953 R-24 to also restore.

I too wish for one of these bikes, especially a R75 or KS750, to Wehrmacht spec. They are not easy to find and are usually quite expensive.
I have thought of buying a later copy (such as Ural) and fitting a BMW engine to it. But I do not know if this would work or if it would disturb me.
I also wish for a Kettenkrad, you must know how difficult these are.

This is correct and a true shame. In the past it was a great honor and dream to be a soldier. Today, such vocation attracts mainly those who are not able to find employment elsewhere. Military has been shamed.

I believe this bike is Zündapp by its engine and forks.
This uniforms to me look like RAD work uniform, the sidecap design resembles a RAD item I have seen. RAD had some unusual work uniforms and some do appear Russian, they were not as typical Wehrmacht uniforms, they had different pants and work-coats. But I cannot be 100% certain, as the photo is old with imperfect detail. If so, I make stupid mistake, but this is OK, a surprise image for Russian admirers, but I assume it is German :)

I believe USSR bought or was given some designs from Germany/BMW ca. 1940, before hostilities, and these led to Ural design as well. I admire this style of bike greatly.
