I love Jerry Lewis! This is hysterical! Bonsai and Geronimo..ha ha ha Some people just don't get the humor. They only see the punchline, sad. I'll be looking for the one where Jerry goes fishing and catches the sword fish. Thanks for uploading! This made my day...
Jerry Lewis in this movie he is a definite legend he also does a great job in this scene and he is a true icon when it comes to great comedy, Thank you Jerry for the great job you did in the movies, And thank you youtube for posting this.
The Errand Boy is probably the most studied Lewis film by comedic actors for its perfect timing and tone. A real work of art (and parody of the Hollywood studio system). This is still my favorite Lewis film. There are so many scenes of warmth and pathos in this film even Lewis detractors can't help enjoying it. The candy store scene is one of the most artful comic gags ever put on film. It took nearly 5 minutes to get to the punch line and worth every second. So rich.
@joesoccerus Today, yes, because it has been copied so many times, but not when it was first released. But you knew that didn't you? I'm suspecting you're not really that dumb, just an asshole. Good for you, I'm sure you'll go along way being an asshole.
I love this scene. you can't get true penny candy anymore. I used to go to a neighborhood candy store, my mother would give me $1.00 for candy and the owner of the candy store had all these barrels full of candy and I would get a little of this and a little of that every time but on the counter she had jars of different jelly beans and if i had any money left over i always got jelly beans with that money. it seemed like i could get a million different things with that one dollar
