That logo looks horrible. It's a disgrace the the legacy of the old WWF logo. Same with other variations of this I've seen here on Youtube. Somehow someway the WWE needs to regain some rights to the old WWF initials/name/logo so they can use it whenever they want and maybe even return to calling themselves the World Wrestling Federation!!

@bigmacdaddy31 I agree that this logo is quite nasty looking, the old blocky 'W' is actually alright but the tacked on 'E' looks ridiculous. But, I don't see the WWF helping at all. It makes us wrestling fans who loved the Attitude Era happy but the company steps away from their family image. Federation of "fighters"or Entertainment for all the family ?

@tonshaad1230 Dude you are talkin utter shit. Never saw the original logo? Most of the fans who transitioned into the Attitude era, like me and so many others, grew up with the WWF and their block logo.

The attitude era was the most vibrant time of pro wrestling on TV, it was exciting, fun and generally awesome.

No the attitude era wasn't, it was a rip-off that got popular because people WAS FORCED into watching it. Had it been ECW who had cameras, WWF would've been dead and ECW and WCW would've been here still.

@bigmacdaddy31 They actually are allowed to call themselves the "World Wrestling Federation". On top of that, here in the U.S. they can still call themselves the WWF. Overseas, however, they would have to edit out an mention of the letters WWF, as well as the Attitude-era WWF logo. Instead of having to rebrand each week's shows for overseas, they simply rebrand the whole thing. Sucks, but it is what it is.

@bigmacdaddy31 They actually do have control and rights to the old WWF initials and logo. The only thing that the Wildlife Fund deal blocked them from using is the 1998-2002 WWF "scratch" logo. The block logo and all other forms are fine for them to use. They can also use the WWF initials in classic broadcasts if they want to. The lawsuit only forbids them from directly calling themselves the "WWF" in promotional material and using the scratch logo.
