  • This, for me, was the quintessential anti-Vietnam war song and conscription in Australia. For a kid it really hit home what was happening to the young men in uniform we saw on TV. Thanks, guys, for your service. "We will remember them..."

  • There was actually a 1964 movie about an australian kid called "Smiley." The tune was the same, but here the lyrics are different.
