Sara Tavares is so under-rated and what a great singer-songwriter she is! She's all original and has the thing of her own in music but to me she bears resemblance to 2 or 3 of my favourite artists who are Shakira, Angelique Kidjo and India.Arie. Especially Shakira of the "Pies Descalzos" era is similar to her musically. I'm not saying Tavares is taking after these artists, I'm just saying there are small similarities which is not bad. I love her Latin and African musical mixture!
