  • hey lisa i am a youtuber and i have a adwords account connected to my channel i paid google 500 bucks (in rupees) how can i get paid for my videos without spending a fortune

  • Who is shane?

  • Lisa, can you use both Google adsense for content and search on the same website?

  • I THINK I LOVE YOU

  • are you allowed to say in your videos to click on your ad while they are watching your video?

  • I knew all this already but I still watched the whole thing just because ;)

  • Sage advice Lisa. Thanks.

  • I am just getting into google adwords and this video really helped me gain a better understanding of ad words. Well done, thanks. 5 stars.

  • Thanks for sharing... This is valuable info.

  • Thank you Lisa, I was interested adsense a few months ago and work and life just got overwhelming. Then a hour ago i got a call from a guy from something I signed up for with google.Short story I told a friend about it and she told me to check your videos out and your website. -Jeremy

  • LOL r u serious?? some dense Numskull thought u talking about paperclips?? hahaha!! im suprised anybody that retarted was able to navigate to ur videos, let alone turn on their computer... pfffft darwinizem at its finest XD

  • Using adwords to direct people to an affiliate website is Google Cash (I own it). The problem with the Google Cash method (or any affiliate marketing) is that you can be at the mercy of the conversion rate of the sales letter on the companies website. Also Google is in the process of slapping affiliates on Adwords (it's a big topic again) because you aren't the authority - you are sending traffic to the authority. Google likes to deal with authorities only.

  • (From Australia). Haven't implemented anything, yet. But, I've downloaded several of your videos. Still am, and have just subscribed. I like the way you do not sensationalize anything about affiliate marketing.

    Just plain, clear, layman's info.

    Please keep it up.

  • super cool video!!! i gotta question...when promoting an affiliate hoplink from clickbank on adwords, does google let you use that link as your website??? i heard they changed the rules so you couldnt do that???? juss what i heard, i may be wrong, please help!!

  • No I believe you have to have your own domain and then link to the hoplink from that site.

  • oh ok, i see! very useful stuff! thanks a million!

  • Does it take awhile for the gains of today to come up? Because it says there were a few clicks, but says no money made today

  • It sure can, especially if you're new. Google is probably making sure the clicks are valid.

  • Ok neato, thanks. I am new and need to find a good or decent site idea, I will probibly on get 2 clicks per day with my small one right now : / But, im getting there

  • I tried to take as much time to understand ,adwords but I did not make any money. I did not know what I was doing. I will go back to adwords as soon as I find more information. Even though, I may be very septic about some of the information people put on the web. I don't want to loose my account. The bright side is, I am still climbing the ladder with adsense.

  • ok im trying to understand i can see how u can use adwords with affilation programs to make money if u have a review website but how else could u use adwords????????????? u just post an ad on google and since u post it than u get the affiliation commission money

  • Say you were promoting The Wealthy Affiliate Program and you earn $50 per sign up (just an example). You could bid on the keyword "wealthy affiliate review" in AdWords and you pay for every visit. Your landing page will promote the WA program and your goal is to make a profit on signups. So if it costs you $20 in AdWords to make one sale, then you've made $30.

  • when using adword how do u know if your ad goes to a blog or googles search engine

  • you're given a choice once you create your own ad campaign... a choice of which site or network you prefer. you can either have them placed on each site automatically or manually one by one you place them.. or you can just turn the network feature off and have it run via google search only

  • I Love your videos!!! thankyou very much!!!

  • why aint you a youtube partner yet?

  • What makes you think I'm not? ;)

  • can't you see the ads at the bottom of the video screen, and her 2 create a website banner?

  • i got one question left lisa.

Do you use Dreamweaver? if so, Did you buy it?

  • Dreamweaver. In fact, I just upgraded to the new version last week. I bought it.

  • How do you keep your friends from continuously clicking on ads? I would be worried about it because they may think they're helping me by clicking over and over. What's the best way to keep get the message out to your friends that you want to keep it under control and legit?

  • but how does google find out if your friends are clicking your adsense links?

a friend of mine walks to 2 different apple stores every day and clicks his adsense links! he makes about 120 dollars every day

  • There's no way they can no for sure but with new accounts they look for patterns (clicks from the same IP). They don't really care if it's you or your friends, obviously, but the point is they monitor click patterns and any click abnormalities. What your friend is doing is plain wrong and it's theft. Not everyone will get caught but I believe in Karma. What if Google happens to check that the clicks are coming from the same 2 IP's? It's just not worth it.

  • yeah , you're right. i've already told him that its wrong, but he ignores that.

about 10 months ago i was thinking about making money with this rip-off-method he does, but i decided to go the 'legal' way. it took me a lot of work and time, until i made money with my website but it was definitely worth it. (btw. i'm 17 years old, and for all those who wanna know my monthly income...it's 3000 to 3400 Dollars ) hard work pays off!

  • Way to go!! Your honesty and ethics is already paying off. I hope your friend eventually gets the message.

  • Don't act like you don't click your own ads, lol, u just can't confirm, cause they will ban u, lol,

besides, clicking ads from different IPs is easy, there are libraries, computer stores, school labs, i mean I don't think everybody is honest. Let's get real

  • Hate to disappoint you, but I really don't. I've been on the other side of the fence as an AdWords advertiser and wouldn't want anyone "stealing" my advertising money so I certainly wouldn't do it someone else. That's just one of the many reasons I wouldn't. Believe it or not, some people really are honest. But you are right... not everyone is going to be honest and I'm sure many people get away with it. Shame.

  • It's not worth click our own ads and risk getting banned. I think what Google tracks is the Clickthrough Rate - the percentage of clicks vs page impressions. If it appears abnormal, they'll shut you down. That's why new accounts get banned more easily, as their impressions are still low, it doesn't take too many clicks to make the CTR look abnormal.

  • Agree. That's what happened to a friend. She clicked her ads so much in the first two days, it got her CTR up to 50%. Most legitimate campaigns would never have a CTR that high but many people don't realize that. She was banned immediately.

  • You are supremely shortsighted. BTW Your way sounds like a lot more work than getting some content together and working on optimizing.

  • My system seems to work very well. I don't spend time focusing on SEO much anymore. Because my site is old the SE's love it so traffic is steady. I now literally make money while I sleep but it did take a while to build it to this point. Wasn't easy at all. And I did spend a lot of time building content. It was so worth it though. Slow and steady wins the race. :)

  • For clarity's sake, my comment about shortsightedness was aimed at mplsriidah's comments about clicking on his own ads, not on your video. Your videos have all had useful info , including this one.

  • Oh! I was very confused. OK. ;) Thanks.

  • Paper Clips. 1:30 That's hilarious.

  • Adwords is honestly WAY too saturated in most niches. Competition has made some CPC rates insane. I run a webhosting company, and the word "web hosting" is over 10 dollars per click adword wise (and webhosting only sells for like 4 dollaes/month). At a 7 percent sale per click ratio, you can see how insane that is. We're talking a 2-3 year return on investment, IF every customer stays. You're normally better off finding a "smaller" adwords clone site where there is less competition.

  • Yeah hosting is insanely competitive. If you're going to go with that niche it's almost better to use AdWords as an affiliate for a hosting company because you can earn up to $100 for some Hosting affiliate programs. But if you run a hosting company I can imagine it is crazy to try and compete.

  • my head is spinning....

  • I REALLY need help with my adsense i have very little traffic to my site and i update my blog every week . What should i do? i want people to join my members area to blog with me.

  • Updating once a week might not be cutting it. Try updating at least once a day, and advertise you site with Twitter. You can also use youtube as "advertising" and say "if u want more info check out my site." Those two really helped me.

  • A good way to get real quality traffic to your blog is to create Youtube videos about the exact same subject, and in all of your videos tell people to visit your blog or site and post the links. Once you start to get viewers and subscribers, your blog traffic will also start to grow. Youtube is a GREAT way to plug in to your written blog! Once people start to like you here, they'll want to read other stuff you've written as well i.e. your blog! Also check out traffic exchanges. Good luck!

  • I think most people who make money with AdWords are selling their own product or promoting someone elses. If you have a website monatized with only AdSense you will loose money.

  • I agree. Unless you have an AdSense ad paying $5.00 per click and a very high CTR I think it's a bad idea to use Adwords just to promote your AdSense content.

  • This is some excellent information, this is very good to know especially to serious people who are into this program.....

  • LISA I loved this episode or video????

Anyways, it's awesome you should write another book and publish it to big stores! I would totally buy it! Keep going!

  • Adwords sounds wery complicated :)

  • Once again another quality video Lisa! Thanks for all the help you give all of us.

  • I knew you couldn't click on your own ad sense but I wasn't sure if you could have your friends to click so thanks for clearing that up. I wont do that. I love your videos and sites. Helped me A LOT and now I am just trying to come up with content before I upload my site

  • I have AdSense on my websites and make very good money. I am so fearful of my website getting banned by Google, that I not only do not click my own ads, I don't click on anybody's AdSense ads! I would not do anything that may affect my Adsense earnings, however remotely it may be. That probably explains why webmasters like me aren't clicking on your Adsense ads.

  • Excellent video. Adwords is definitely great if you can find your niche. I first heard of adwords in a job interview for a computer hardware company. Basically what the company did in order to drive sells to their website is put adwords for specific computer hardware models. They said that the specific model number was what made the most cash and their was their adwords strategy work. I didn't get the job but came out learning something new :)

  • Understood each just not the fine details of adwords fine tuning. thank you. One day can we get a better understanding of finding a one page source for housing all of the different affiliates we use. (so we dont have to go to 20 different sites to see our commissions and info.) Thank you LIsa YOU ROCK!!!

  • you know you should go it will be fun you know

  • Google adsense disabled my account. I don't know why. I didn't do anything. A lot of other people also got their accounts disabled that day too. I need to to know a way to get it back. (If I can)

    I had $70 in there.

  • i dnt have fun and times flyin for me too

  • Affiliate programs. I constantly worried on placing other affiliate programs on the site, since Google is not so clear on explaining what programs can we run simultaneously or not. I tried amazon (low paying) to no avail, and after a few months I dropped the ad. :(

Is click bank COMPATIBLE with Adwords?

  • I just put a product and im offering 60% sales commision to affiliates if you are interested pm me over youtube for details, there is very little competition

Lisa, great video im sure it will clear up lots of confusion for newcommers.

  • also I'm tryign to use adwords, I got 200 clicks and no sales? whats the deal :O

  • That's not unusual. It's all about testing and it may take a while before you figure out what you need to do (or say) to land the sale. Most people who make good money with AdWords spent a lot trying to figure out the formula

  • one of my tricks is to not listen to all those ppl that say make your keywords exactly what your selling, do NOT do that, because if the ad is for content not search people have already found what your advertising on the page theyre on for free, so dont bother with them, make it relate closely, close enough so they will know what your ad is about

  • Great advice! Always good to hear from people who are succeeding with AdWords.

  • I have got one with over 400 clicks and no sales, and others with 100 clicks and 2 sales in the same niche.

So you don't really know before you try, but I would say that if you get more than 300 - 400 without a sale, then it will be really hard to make a profit on it.

It's also about finding the"buying keyword phrases" as "how do I get away my anxiety attacks" instead of "what is anxiety attacks" and good negative keywords can also be a big help, as the big one -free.

  • Excellent points!!

  • wait so adsense is just to post google ads on your website? and you make money when somone clicks on it?

  • lol yes...

  • yes, that's it. so adsense is easier if you can get lots of traffic(people) to your site that will click your ads. as far as adwords goes, you need people to click your ads(which costs you) and then buy what you're selling(which gives you profit) however, most of the time people won't buy, that's why adwords takes more experienced people to make it work.
