  • Tyler, it's called reading.... read the quest text, it contains alot more

  • this game kicks ass

  • is this game just a grind fest - repeatin the same 10 levels over and over again ( resident evil 5, resistance 2 co op, mw2 spec ops????)

  • @gamerzndplayerz no, not at all. the only grinding you will do is replaying the campaign your second time around to reach the highest level. by the end of your first 30 hour playthrough, you will be about a rank 34/50, eventhough i think they bumped the cap to 70. your second playthrough is what i would call "grinding." you grind to get better weapons and more exp, but you don't half to play a second time in order to enjoy the game.

  • The thing I hate about borderlands? No character creation.I also miss the fact of getting to collect armor and things versus just guns, shields, class, and grenade mods.

  • @Zolomar then play fallout 3

  • @dbzfan5050 Holy crap, 8 months later XD.I love both games equally, lol.

  • to everyone thats arguing about whether its an rpg or fps: its neither, lets just say its an rps and end the bullshit

  • i didn't like this game...it got boring pretty fast.

  • @ybucket it's an rpg, tactics don't fucking apply, ur obviously a pure fps player who doesn't know crap about RPGs, it's all about quests and items, not k/d and gamebattles in this game

  • RPG has branching dialogue. Does this game have that? I don't think so. Quests and missions are one fine line. This game is a FPS in my view.

  • True, it doesnt have branching dialogue where ou can make decisions and all that, but there are side quests and dungeons and bosses that are not required to kill to beat the game (side-quests)

  • by that definition many games would be considered an RPG then...to name one GTAIV. That doesn't make it an RPG.

  • Me to I found fallout boreing

  • Of course you can compare games....

you compare how much you enjoyed the game to the other. and this totally owns fallout 3... i found f3 really borring. but then again people have their own opionions

  • Yeah, but you're comparing an FPS to an RPG. Although Borderlands has RPG elements and Fallout 3 has FPS elements, Borderlands is mainly an FPS and Fallout 3 is mainly an RPG.

  • yup and i found this game boring and i enjoyed fallout 3 ...it wasn't my favourite game but i played through the whole thing. ....cant say the same about this game. Perhaps i will give it another try one day but ive played 2-3 hours and didn't like it so i dont think my opioun will change.

  • yes haha people keep on saying the graphics blah blah blah sucks blah, its the gameply that makes it fun. it's fun figuring out enemies's weakness and co-op with friends.

  • fallout 3 and borderlands are oppisites, fallout 3 is an rpg with shooter tacked on, whilst this is a shooter with an rpg tacked on

  • eggsfuckingzactly

  • so true m8 but i still love em both :D

  • same, they are both different games and I don't think they should be compared together

  • dude! i love ur music choice! its the music from watchmen, nice choice and vid haha :D

  • fightclub, best movie, best role brad pitt ever played, best song ever. best book too.

  • 12400052 i am getting borderlands on PS3 for christmas, ill play with you, my gt is ClackJam

  • Uh...the PS3 doesn't have gamertags, they're called PSN IDs. XD

  • give him a break, it's the same thing.

  • Hey i was just wondering if you can play split screen? same ps3 2-4 controllers??:P thanks in advance=D

  • sad!! lol

  • the storys not that bad its new it hasnt been done before

  • hey if anyone else thinks there getting this for christmas or already has it for the ps3 then reply to me so i can get some people to play this game with :D

  • Great review man. Say, how did you get the "And they'll tell two friends" achievement?

  • Nice review, Would've liked a comprehensive review on the co-op aspect of the game though

  • so....borderlands or fallout 3?

  • i wasn't a huge fan of fallout 3 simply because the gameplay left me desiring more, and of course, gameplay is the true backbone of every videogame, so i found fallout 3 relatively unenjoyable, whereas borderlands felt equally as good as games like call of duty or halo and it delivered some really fun bosses, great coop, a lengthy campaign, and a rewarding loot system, so my vote goes to borderlands, but a lot of people would argue against me. they really are 2 completely different games tho

  • yea ill probly rent both and see if i like ethier one and if i like both ill buy them but borderlands does look like alot more fun to me but just wanted another opion so thanks

  • o and btw my favorite types of games are fps and rpg or rts so this looks like the perfect game for me

  • True!! but i enjoyed both :D the gameplay is bad in fallout the story and quest makes me forget the gameplay and just enjoy the talking scenes :)

  • For story go for fallout 3. For addictive gameplay go for this one. By the way there are many guns in this game, but many are almost the same. Game is a 8+/10

  • both

  • whats that red field around the character? please answer :)

  • That is from the Soldier's Turret skill. You can add skill points into making the turret heal all party members inside the red field. A Blue turret field regenerates ammo for everyone in the field. It's very nice :D

  • aah ok, I get it, thanks :)

  • to clarify things, whenever i kill an enemy a red ring appears around me. anybody within the area of that ring, along with myself slowly regenerates health. you can also have this perk for shields as well, wish i think i also have maxed out for this video. i believe that every class is able to carry these abilities, not solely the soldier class, but don't hold me to that. hope that kind of clears everything up for you

  • wow, thanks, and ace review there

  • Isn't the last skill in from the Medic section for the Soldier? He doesn't have a turret out and it moves with him. He shows his skill tree and he has that skill. It heals you when you kill someone.

  • Oh is that so? I don't have a high level soldier myself, just a 50 hunter. Saw the field and assumed it was the turret.

  • great job.

  • yea the only thing i wish they had was more dialouge then it would be 100% perfect for me=)

  • good review mate

  • Song from the Watchmen trailer, good choice ;D

  • this game is MUCH more addicting than WoW

i lvoe thsi game its the best

    im addicted

  • everybody has to own this game, its probs one of the funyest and most fun games ive played ever, there are some bugs but they are so overshadowed by the pure awsomeness of the game. and u gotta love the arcade style damage values spewing off the enemys.

  • Well I am getting this game later today. In about 2 to 3 hours. I cant pick this in my head, so tell me, which character do you think would be best for a first time Borderlands player?

  • i think the soldier class is by far the best class. the ability to shoot and heal your teammates is hands down the most important ability to have. in my opinion, the hunter is by far the most overused and weakest class of them all. i know a lot of people will rush to defend this class but it's only because they think being a sniper with a deadly hawk is cool. that's just my two cents though

  • yes

  • does this have off-line multyplayer?

  • yes (split screen)

  • boderlands is the best game i have ever played and my first 1000/1000 gamerscore game

  • good vid.

  • It is an amazing game

  • if I had the time for this I would buy it man. Looks very solid.

  • Looks alright. il stick with Uncharted 2 for now.

  • i was thinking about dusting off my ps3 and hooking it back up for uncharted 2, but then i remembered how much i hate psn and decided otherwise. with dragon age coming out in a week and a half, i simply dont have the money to pick up a copy, maybe ill rent uncharted one of these days...i said that with the original too and here i am a couple years later and i still havent played it....sad really

  • Well the online options are very similar to Halo 3. It uses matchmaking u can create your own room and you can also watch previews matches u played record and edit them. So its probably the best onlie game on the PS3 that ive played thus far.

  • i just cant handle not being able to cross chat games/have a party system. i also can't handle the fact that the amount of users with mics is drastically less than on the 360 since the ps3 doesnt come with a headset, and i cant play a cooperative, team-based game without communicating with my teammates so i end up getting pissed off. also the friends list and menu system is still nowhere near as user friendly as xbl. those are the main reasons i never get online on my ps3.

  • I would tell you to give Uncharted 2 a chance. I am in no way a person who believes in the hype of any game, but U2 truly is a reason to own a PS3 which gladly surprised me. I wholeheartedly agree the PS3 has major issues with PSN, but Uncharted 2 is well worth it. It's been one of the few games to get me away from my 360 and other consoles.

  • 1000 gamerscore huh? Thats what im talking about!!! This game rules.. I'll probably get all my trophies :) Good review... 5/5

  • Cool game, cool review.

  • I don't like that they added a faggoty auto lock on iron sights a la CoD on it.

Hopefully this is excluded form the PC version, which I'll find out tomorrow :D

  • it doesn't snap on as drastically as cod, but it does have a heavy stick feel to it, but the action is so hectic at times that it didn't bother me.

  • nah PC never has auto lock the mouse and keyboard is too awesome for auto lock lol

  • actually it does have auto lock on the pc but it's not as aggressive as the console version

  • this is a really good review, i mite get this for christmas. why'd you disable ratings?

  • Good review man as always. Cant wait to play this game

  • Great review man, i agree a very fun game to play and loved almost every minute of it and replaying it soon!

  • Great review and agree 100%. To me the joy of the game is that it makes you want to continue playing over and over just to see what new kickass weapon you will find next. Who needs story when you have that?

  • great review.

  • i love this game

  • I want this, but i just bought rachet and clank crack in time, this looks like okami and fallout 3 put together

  • really funny opening and great review man

  • the beggining is ok, but when you go to the middle and beyond, ITS SOOO FUN :D

  • Awesome review. Shame about there not being an engaging story, considering it's written by the same guy behind Brothers in Arms games.

  • true but its not that bad of a loss
