Im generalising here, but my gay male friends are all in their 20s and 30s, and they do go on more weekend breaks and short holidays- people with kids usually have the least spare cash. The family theme would also put off many people who don't want be surrounded by other peoples screaming kids all day, personally i avoid family-friendly places! I think promoting the gay scene was the stronger idea- but with half finished leaflets and Monas attitude they just didn't do a good job on it.
"Monas attitude" as you put it is a myth. Her teammates saw an opportunity to play a game of character assaination in there & tryied to portray her as some sort of bigot. If you look at it Mona's original idea that the other were all quick to rubbish actually was the same idea that won the other team the task..
But instead they wanted to go on some moral crusade..

Keep in mind, Sir Allen doesn't fire people based solely on the current task with the exception of task one and maybe two. He looks at overall performance and if there is something consistently wrong with the candidate he fires them. Debra seemed nice enough, but she always seemed easily rattled, she never took enough control and her explanations for mistakes always were confused. Debra is ruthless but I think her work as lead singer Marylin Manson paid off in the end.
Can I remind everyone that sais that Sir Allen doesn't like black people that the first person who was hired was Black and a semi-finalist as well. Lorraine is so ugly btw.
