  • I am so exited about this album! mewithoutYou is an amazing band and i think this record will be a great progression for them. grace and peace.

  • this sounds freaking amazing. mewithoutYou rocks whatever they do.

  • is it just me or didn't mewithoutYou used to be rockish kind of stuff?

  • ya their old stuff is way better

  • i don't know, this is kinda growing on me haha.

  • I like the new stuff more too :)

  • I'll admit that the pre-release is a pretty weak album. There are a few songs, i.e. the song listenable on the trailer that sound decent but the "rock" sound is something you crave to hear from this band. The sound on this album is very folk-rockish and doesn't at all catch the intensity that past mewithoutyou albums have. Sorry about the bad review. I am still going to purchase the album but I wish they would have re-thought the direction of this one... or possibly made it a b-sides album.

  • i feel like despite the fact that their rock sound may have been stongest [catch for us the foxes is def my favorite], this album is a perfect progression for mwY in terms of growth as a band. each album has become progressively more positive and praise-filled from "I Never Said I was Brave" and "[A-->B] Life" being much more secular and angry to an almost complete 180 with this album.. from what I've read about Aaron and his thoughts on the band, this is the kind of music he feels he must make.

  • it sounds different, but it is still mewithoutYou...and if i recall, catch for us the foxes sounded different than [A-->B] Life, and Brother, Sister sounded different than catch for us the foxes...so in my opinion, this is mewithoutYou doing what they normally do.

  • I just wet myself... I cannot wait!

  • maybe if i were better with how i vocalize my thoughts via keyboard, then maybe i could come close to describing it. but as i was saying: that's what makes it so wonderful. it's beyond description! mewithoutyou takes my breath away every time, and i certainly hope (and pray!) this is far from their last record.

yes. i will shut up now.

  • that's the beauty with music like this. not only do you never know what to expect with a new full-length... the listener will find himself/herself wondering exactly *why* they enjoy it. with mewithoutyou, i've never been able to put my finger on it.

  • yes. i was taken aback by the new stuff.

yes. it was the same story with their last record.

yes. this album may take some "getting used to."

yes. i have high high high hopes.

yes. i know i will not be disappointed.

  • its very different from this usual. but i have to say i like it. its good to hear bands change a bit every now and again. why in th heck would we want an album to sound exactly the same as the last? that fact that their sound has changed shows they can do more than the same thing over and over again, unlike most bands. keep up the good work mewithout you. im excited

  • I'm a long time mewithoutYOU fan.

I've seen them play 5 times since 03.

I've had a ton of conversations with Aaron.

I've done everything in my power to support these guys. This new CD is awful.

The music is okay at best.

The music is more or less camp fire songs with a band playing.

  • ah i can't wait! (:

  • cannot wait. totally new sound for them, but sounds great.

  • this means that all of YOUR favorites suck, too.

  • well, no, i'm not, i don't listen to mwY too much.

besides, you're the one calling names, and i don't meet many mwY fans who are as rude as you are.

i just wanted to point out that if you don't like one band that other people like, then others are bound to call your favorite stuff shitty.

    i'm done with you.

  • this kinda sounds powerpop

  • This sounds much happier than their previous stuff. Brother, Sister/Catch For Us the Foxes were absolute gold. Wonder how this'll turn out...

  • 37 seconds of greatness

  • What in the world was that?!?!

  • I wondered what happen to these guys.

  • Hannah wants!!!

  • can't wait.

  • the hell did I just listen 2

  • The song is called "The Fox, The Crow, And The Cookie" by MewithoutYou

  • That wasn't really what I was getting at, but thanks anyway.

  • lol, you no likey?

  • Nope

  • i swear food plays a major part in the lyrics of this album.

  • i cant wait.

  • whee!!! i'm super excited. i love the new style. it sounds like they got a few psalters in there.

    Tooth & Nail, you rock!

  • It's alright. I like the older stuff more though.

  • hm.. interesting. not sure if i like it though

  • hmm, i like the new sound
