  • a bit noisy....

  • Sounds like a hairdryer.

  • Wheel motors are a nice idea, but not really available, and an unsprung mass nightmare.

This is about the only way the pieces will go together, so the exhaust is going out the rear hatch. Now that I better understand the real heat issues, I could live is less air, and we might work on that, but the top one will remain to clear the exhaust.

  • Where can I get one? I want it yesterday.

  • I think the horrible fins are for the hot-air-gas escape ventilation because there isnt a muffle...

  • your going to need to muffle the turbine.

  • The exhaust and heat from the turbine exit through the louvers. We also had to clear the drive controller. Only way it fits. Two complete drive systems under a 42" roof.

  • What's up with those horrible fins at the back?

  • Quiet, even with the turbine engine turning the generator. Fast - electric powered sports car! I hope this is the wave of the future.

  • @gmc4jesus - The turbine, in fact, is the generator. There's only one moving part; no lubrication or cooling are required. I've been wanting to see Capstone's turbines in a car for many years (but am far too broke to make it happen). It's nice in Factory Five's GTM but, seeing as the turbine can run in any orientation, I figure there has to be a way to do this with GTM's "conventional" exhaust outlets. Wheel-motors??? Anyway; I must congratulate Rich and Capstone for this victory!
