  • Before photoshop there was chemical retouching. Before that there were portrait artists. Before that there were painters. People are seen as they want to be seen.

  • Ok, thanks. But I can't find it :P

  • whoa how long did that take??

  • I think about 45 minutes. I started and finished during an episode of Heroes.

A lot of the time was scrutinizing and redoing, though. (Like with the eyes.)

  • You should have put a "before/after" kind of thing.

  • I apologize for not having one... you can go to my profile for a link to my website where you'll be able to see a before and after.

  • Woaa.. Great video! Why didn't you set a before/after on the end?

  • Sorry, I put this up a long time ago and didn't think to do it. You can see a before and after at my website (the link is in my profile).

  • She's beautiful. Far from fat.

  • I know, she's beautiful pre-editing. But my point was to illustrate that through proving that no matter how beautiful a girl is, she'll be photoshopped.

  • good work!! but i was expecting u tafe off the fat face,,,,,,shahsuhs

  • You were expecting what? If you mean 'take off the fat face' that's a rather dumb comment. Her facial structure is boxy, not fat.

  • no probs

  • great work man ... all perfect xpt the nose.... a bit wierd

  • Thank you. :)

  • yeah dude, you're great! I hope you don't mind if I copy these techniques ;)

  • I s'pose not. What's the point of putting the whole video up here if I don't want anyone to use the same techniques? =P If you catch what I did, you're welcome to reuse it. :)

  • yes, I knew the technique but I never tried out the filter ^^

    thanks for that video =)

  • You're very welcome. :)

  • the nose ended up looking like it's made of plastic!

    great eye work !!

  • Thank you for the constructive criticism instead of pointless hate! :) You have a point, I got stuck on the nose.

  • excellent work man! id love to be able to use photoshop the way u do. how long would something like that take?

  • Thank you for the compliment! :) I am sending you a personal message because what I wrote is longer than 500 characters.

  • you know.. for all that work.. the picture looks exactly the same.

    enjoy mediocracy.

  • Thanks! Your comment totally had a worthwhile point.

  • For the skin... er... problems (spots, wrinkles, etc) you would achieve a better result with patch tool rather than with stamp tool, otherwise, great.

  • I appreciate the tip. :) I started out with the stamp tool so I stuck with it, even when I learned about the patch tool. I've been using stamp for longer so I'm better with it. I'm the same way with the extract tool. I started with using freehand lasso, so that's what I'm best with. I never use the extract tool.

  • The Patch and Heal tools allow for greater efficiency which is what you aim for when you're doing 394594869 retouches in a week lol. Also I see that you didn't remove the bags from under the eyes; odd. This girl's eyes didn't really need to be enlarged but I understand. Over all you've got a good handle on retouching and are really good at piecing together a video, I applaud thee.

  • I'm lucky I never have that many to do per week! haha. I'm a full-time student so I think I'd die. Oh, and normally I wouldn't make her eyes so big or edit things so much, but the point of these three videos is to counter the Dove-Evolution ads by showing that even girls who are gorgeous get photoshopped, it's just the process of professionalizing it. Last thing! Bags edited at 5:00. Bottom lids are dark because of studio lighting. :)

  • nice video!!! you are very good in photoshop

  • Thank you! :)

  • what you do at 4 minutes. rise the lips and make bigger the eyes. Scuse my english. lol

  • Oh, use the Liquify tool. It's in the Filters menu at the top of the screen, it's the 4th one down, I think. Then use the tools there to edit the features you want to. The first on at the top-left grabs and drags (like with the lips) and on the second section, the two tools "bloat" and "pucker" make the portion you're clicking on bigger or smaller, respectively.

  • wich effect should i use to stand up eyes, mouth and nose? Thnx allot!!! and very nice job!! Mc.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by "stand up." Do you mean make them smaller/larger/etc?

  • ty :)

  • wow that awesome can you teach me how you do that pls

  • Um... probably not in the space of one comment. Buy Adobe Photoshop CS2 and start going through tutorials. To record what you're doing, use Camtasia Studio.

  • woah you're good at that.

  • Aww, thanks. :)
