when I listen to tony jones I have the clear sensation we are getting close to the end. I will put myself on line of prayer against the devil and this enemy. I don't know....when I see these guy's faces, they reminded me those europeans, especially from belgium with all their lifestyle. They will have to kill me and my family to challenge the Holy Reign of Christ on this earth. Amen

@FearNTrembling80 - I do not believe that Driscoll is a real Christian but a wolf in the fold deceiving others so that they may never come to know Christ. Many would recognize this if they would just sit down and read their Bibles, studying the Scriptures and doing what it says.

I suggest reading the Book of Jude. Also...

@FearNTrembling80 - This is what this video is about, exposing the false teachers so that others will be deceived. Driscoll, Bell, etc., are false teachers. They create doubt in an individual by their teachings and lead others away from the true and saving Gospel of Christ. I am sorry you don't agree with me, but I am doing what the Scriptures tell us to do and that is to expose false teachers who are so dangerous to the souls of men.

wow Driscoll in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY takes Jesus "lightly". If you read his books and watch his sermons he is VERY conservative in his theology. He has written books all about Jesus(Vintage Jesus for instance) and these books if anything emphasize how without Jesus we are sinners who deserve eternal wrath in Hell. As someone who listens and reads Driscolls stuff I'm gonna have to call you out.

I would imagine that her point about him taking Jesus lightly is that He doesn't (or didn't) seem to have a reverence about his speech and demeanor that some of us would like to see.

Driscoll got stuck in the 'emergent' church movement in the beginning but he has distanced himself from it. He is a great preacher who preaches the Gospel. I would totally recommend him to anyone.

I agree 100%. Mark Driscoll does not deserve any of this criticism. I've been following his podcasts for a long time now and I heard him swear once to make a point. He is theologically sound and conservative, and very convicting (ie HOW DARE YOU!). Rob Bell is, in some respects, a little sketchy, but I think some of his ideas are needed at this time.

Driscoll swore once in a message many years ago and Donald Miller (Blue Like Jazz) gave him the knick-name "The Cussing Pastor". Driscoll himself deplores this misnomer, and does not cuss in the pulpit. People who do not know the facts continue to perpetuate this about Driscoll, but it is not true.

Having gone to MHC for two years nearly three years ago, I can attest to the fact that he has sworn in the pulpit numerous times. HOWEVER, I do have a number of friends who still go there, and they say that he has improved much in this area, and, that though he may occasionally slip up, he is growing.

I have heard he is cleaning up his act as well. I pray for him. So many say that he is really a great preacher except for his foul mouth and sometimes lewd comments.

I guess I should make it clear that a friend of mine has listened to Driscoll preach at some meetings/conferences and has attended his church from time to time. He did indeed swear in the pulpit and would be extremely explicit on sexual matters that was not necessary. This same friend is the one who said that Driscoll is growing and cleaning it up in his sermons. That was a joy to hear! :)

Wasn't this image around LONG before the *emergent church*?? Probably something we should look inwardly before we point the finger elsewhere. How about getting the plank out of your own eye first?? Unless you've dont that already????
