  • @jodi that sounds great you took me there for a sec....great tune for getting into the deeps of the mind...

  • I think I was 11 or 12 when I first heard this. One of my favorite songs on the planet.

  • Recorded in October 1973 at Berkeley but released only in 1975. (Milestone Records)

  • Absolutely beautiful! The intro reminds Visions of Gaudi by Tom Harrell.... (the video is in my channel)

  • Proves the point that Simple is best.

  • Joe's the epitome of Spiritual Creativity and the perfect balance between simplicity and technicality. Not to mention, this is an excellent roadtrip tune

  • joe was a wonderful musician full of so many creative ideas-R.I.P. brother

  • The beginning sounds kind of like Tarika Blue's "Sunflower"

  • Oh, thank you so much for this. I've also been looking for it for decades. Back in the '70s I drove from NY to LA. In the middle of a hot afternoon in Middle-of-Nowhere, Texas, I stopped alongside the highway overlooking a vast, empty, panoramic prairie, with the "purple mountain majesties" in the distance. I had lugged along a cassette tape deck (pre-Walkman era) and had this song playing, with not a soul around, looking at this incredible vista of America. Such great memories. Thank you again.

  • @jodi10704

Perfect sound track for the experience you described so well....Rose

  • @jodi10704 That's a very special sounding memory, beautiful imagery.

  • @jodi10704 Amazing visual! I too always like to associate music (especially deep soulful cuts such as this) with beautiful imagery. It really takes your mind and soul to a different plane!

  • @jodi10704 I write. That sounds like a nice, short chapter in a book. Lol

  • i was only 21 when i first heard this too

  • Thank you very much for uploading this. I have been searching for this. Forever.

  • Incredibl! Met Joe at Concerts by the sea years ago. I had to tell him how moving this song is. He said it was a very simple song. And there it is, how more can be said with less!
