  • Yea great vid. Thank you Frenchfriedfrenchmen, I also noticed that. It kinda bothered me.

  • les paul all the way man good vid

  • Good Job.

  • Does the junior have a thick neck?

  • dont use distortion when you are comparing

  • /o\

  • Young man, my three-year old son resembles you. I sure hope he plays like you can when he gets your age! Blessed be, and keep pickin'! Thanks for sharing your talent.

  • dont listen to the haters they have issues with themselves. Keep playing :)

  • how come at the beginning of every video hosted by a little kid begins with the words "all right"

  • BORING

  • Ima Goofey Goober!!...Rock!

  • Do it right, or don't do it. In your case, don't do it until you can play a bit better.

  • Try this to be FAIR!!! Epiphone LesPaul Standard vs Squier Stratocaster/Telecaster standard or w/e....it would be more equal! epiphones "best" les paul vs squier's "best" strato/tele!

  • why an les paul jr.?????????? a les plaul 100 would be a fair replacement its still a step down from the les paul standard which is amazing

  • no no no, squier must sounds better, im sure this boy didnt make best settings for stratocaster!!!

  • les paul sounds better. but ur amp sucks lol

  • you'r amp sucks man it sounds like... I wont complete this sentence

  • @mikrojaj well, he WAS 11, and amps are pretty exspensive. but i mean he has 2 electric guitars so yeah i would expect him to have a better amp so nevermind :P

  • I think the Les Paul would go good with rock and a jazzy feeling

  • Great demo!

  • that's a tough one. I would pick the epiphone. The squier only sounds amazing in clean, but the les paul sounds good in clean or distortion

  • in order to get good sounds out of a squier, you cant use to much distortion...

  • sounds like poo? well.... way to make the e chord feel sad. btw- fine little tip here, try a clea demo on both then go distorted.

  • Never makes a comparison, all depends of the music, hace you ever seen a funky player playing with a les paul, NEVER, cause les paul sounds muddy. Les paul is good for powerchords not for open chords(it is with distortion, well good)

  • All depends what music you like. I personally like fender.

  • nope [just a tip dont sayy rate comment it and do what ever you want, next time say rate comment and subscribe;D... ohh yes and good play for a guy in your age:)

  • i have the les paul its way better.the fender is so common

  • if you've got the money to mod it, lp jr all the way. if not, then the squier, cause it's very versitile (although not a big fan of fenders myself)

  • I have one of each and I found that the lp jr is the perfect guitar for modifying . Change the tuners right away and you may have a fine guiytar for te money

  • THe Epiphone sounds much better, i have both but the fender is feels better...can't explain

  • fender squier is the best cuz this vs epiphone lp jr it ownz it completely!!!! saying this i am getting an epiphone les paul but i would get a fender if they were a bit less money lol but that is my opinion the sound of the fender is to good for epiphone... .... if you didnt know fender squier is the best make of guitar in the world!!!!!!!!! by far!!!!!!!!!!

  • i have both, but for me fender rules

  • i have epi junior and i can say that is pretty good guitar, especially for beginers. when you change strings it sounds better than with original strings. it's good choice when you've got only 100$ for guitar, in my opinion lp jr is worth much more than only 100$. : )

  • i got the same jr

  • which is better epiphone or fender?

  • Epiphone no doubt.

  • not the squire, the fender standard

  • fender is a full on company so id say them

  • its not really a review when hes just naming off chords..

he needs to actually play a good song!

  • fender/squier make better basses...

epiphone and gibson make better guitars. im talking about quality. the two brands (gibson/fender) have very different sounds so you can really say one is better than the other

  • I have Squier strat and it sucks......strings are tuching neck when i am playing 7,8,9 freath....bad sound and ........ :(.....i am sorry for bed english i am serb'

  • epiphones are actually great guitars. never buy a squier if you have been playing guitar for more than 2 years...they're just not worth it.

  • thank u cuz ive been playin a while and i was considering a squier but u jus cleared it up for me

  • @MattTC1028 I have to disagree with you on that one. The special edition squiers are much better than the affinities, the standards are okay but I own a squier obey telecaster and it sounds much better than most of the MIM that I have played.

  • dude i had one too....they do last longer than squier standards...but i had that one for like 4 years and it got all messed up so i sold it. on the other hand i do have an epiphone les paul that ive used in so many shows and it looks like its been to hell and back and it still sounds amazing. the quality of the epiphones is just a little higher.

  • @MattTC1028 well four years is a long time, I mean it's not that long but by that time you probably got enough money to buy a better guitar.

  • yeah i did...but a guitar shouldnt stop working after 4 years.

  • That's true, and I agree with you, but the squiers are good guitars, they just get a bad rep cuase they're not real fenders.

  • Completely agree.

  • les pauls are overrated

  • i have a fender squier standard stratocaster and it s amazing. Les paul sucks

  • squier sucks......les paul and epiphone are way better

  • Is this a tutorial or something? lol

  • I love fenders I AM A FENDER MAN but overal on beginner guitars epiphone would get my vote cuz squires are just CRAP

  • yeah had a afinty serries squire strat took it back for a epiphone junor.

  • listining to blink 182 will teach you how to play

  • kid, study more, and than make a vid!

  • I like the squire...

  • this boy looks in a stoned way

    xD

  • I am Satan

  • les paul jr. are amazing :)

  • Hey kid, you're doin ok thanks for the vid.

  • Have you heard any kid that age who can play well? Kids aren't as coordinated as teens. Strat vs. Les Paul: Well, I like the sound of the Les Paul--too many players use strats (overly familiar sound). True strats, in good hands, are really great, versatile guitars. Famed legacy guitars usually were made in the U.S. U.S. Strats (past and present) have a better action than current foreign ones. What's under-esteemed is hollow-body. (An aside: The late Les Paul invented multi-track recording.)

  • @gsnoorky look up tallen lats just do it

  • @gsnoorky I started with an SG and now I want a Stratocaster so bad. I'm really tired of the "Humbucker" sound.

  • @gsnoorky i don't agree with what you say i believe the les paul is just as used as the strat

  • @gsnoorky WOOO TEENS FTW!

  • IMO

You guys need to shut your mouths, grow up and find something better too do then make fun of some kid over the internet.

  • becuase that will make you sound even shiter than you actuallt are

  • ur usin a squier sp 10 amp arnt u

  • WOW YOU FUCKING SUCK EPIC FAIL

  • you're a moron

  • he sux

  • suier stratocaster vs fender stratocaster fender wins, 1. seymour duncan alnico pickups, 2. 22 frets.

  • thanks we knows the cords....

  • you cant compare two guitars by just playing chords

  • jr les paul? really?

  • what a waste of guitar and electricity

  • LMAO!!!!!!!! damn i needed a good laugh today!

  • You should have called the les paul a Gibson Epiphone if you called the strat a Fender Squier. haha

  • true true lol i hate when people call squires fender squire

  • there both copies, there both the same.

  • illgo for les paul jr. squier sux no way. thanks for the vid, pretty kid.

  • fag

  • this is a responce to extreme5050 first of learn more about guitars before commenting guitars with single coil pickups sound different to guitars that have humbuckers and depending on what brand pickups you have for example emg. sounds different to seymourduncan and so on and then theres the type of wood they use on the guitars and so on. and amps play an important part aswell.

  • hahaha, you don't know what you are talking about, learn something about guitars than talk about them

  • naa chupame la pija puto

  • lucky ass with his strat and les paul

les paul all the way for rock and

strat for kind of american sort of songs like cheesy songs u know!

    LOL!

  • How old is this dude?? like 10? lol

Squire verses epiphone debates have been going around for ages but it depends on a lot of things:

1: The guitarists style, and what sort of sound he has.

2: The genre played eg blues, country, rock, pop

3: If the guitarist can actually play the guitar ;)

I've had a squire for a while and found it good for the bluesy/country sound I like whilst I like epiphones for a rock sound.

    It's all about preference

    Greg.

  • you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • hes not that bad go les paul jr

  • les paul all the way

  • ridiculous!

  • I have a squire srat I i think guitar without wammy bar sucks..... the sound depens on your amp W, not on the guitar(when comparing same price guitars)

  • An Epiphone Les Paul Jr. with a alternative 8 SH-15 pickup, a good setup, and a good amp would sound awesome!

  • how much do juniors cost ?

  • they both are 100

  • but nirvana never uzed srats smart one th use jazzmasters

  • fender

  • the lp sounds better because of the distortion but yep your pretty good

  • yeah but let me remind you nirvana was all about distortion and kurt played stratocasters

  • haha good job. how old are u by the way?? anyway, this is something id just like to put out there. you cant prove that a les paul is better than a strat or a strat is better than a les paul. this is because theyre used for different styles of music. like strat is used usually for blues or clean because of its single coils, not really used for heavy metal distortion. while the les paul is used for rock, overdrive, and distortion because of humbuckers. i just wanted to say that =]

  • the lp sounds way better

  • i say lp all the way. i used to play a fender strat till i picked up a epiphone g-310 its just above the jr and the special and its really one of the best guitars i have ever played. swaped out the epiphone pickups for a set of TOG humbucker sized p-90s though and it sounds so good and classic

  • Reply! Is the les paul jr smaller than normal guitars? how much if so?

  • its the same size as the normal gibson lp jr but thats all i know.

  • some size as a normal guitar. idk if you know what an epiphone specail 2 is but its the exact same with 1 less humbucker.

  • no it regular size only $100 at guitar center

  • i like the les paul is a classic!! the strat everybody have 1 so i wanna try something different thanks!:D

  • which one is better,,, because i have to choice a epiphone les paul junior or a squier strat ?

  • it all depends on what type of music you play. if you are a metal guitarist or like distorted power chords, the les paul. if you play pretty much anything else (high non-metal soloing, full chords, non-distorted music, etc) then go with a strat. i personally like strats better, theyre more versatile, too.

  • go candada man they have great bacon ham crap admit it but usa is better

  • Fender is better than Gibson in my opinion.

    BUT

    Epiphone is better than Squier.

  • epiphone is a branch of gibson, and squier is a branch of fender, so that makes sense.

  • Fender Squier Stratocaster won the battle

  • and the les paul jr. wins

  • im thinking bout getting that JR. in white

  • cut the kid some slack, hes clearly only starting out. both guitars are great for begginers and are diffrent so it makes sense for him to have them

Leave him alone and make constructive critism, in 3 years he'll be great

  • it would be better if you playe a more detailed song and compared

    2 stars

  • dude do a video of JUST the les paul jr and play some stuff on the clean channel to get a good feel for the sound

  • We know what the chords are. Both of those suck, so when your balls drop, and you get good, save up for either a Mexican made Fender, or a Gibson Special or Studio.

  • Its cool you can criticize a little kid. hopefully that builds your self esteem. And the guitars you named are also crap sounding guitars.

  • You are so corrupted by American advertising.

Fucking look at the spec sheets. Same materials, same craftsmanship. You just need new pickups, and the guitar sounds JUST as good. I've got an MIM Tele and an American, and the MIM is my no. 1 - with vintage noiseless pups. Secondly, the Gibson Special/Studio is a fucking Standard, minus binding and mother of pearl - also with lesser pickups. I have an SG Special Faded with a '57 classic and velvet brick and it kicks my bud's LP Standard's ass!

  • No, Your the idiot. Just because its the same wood does not mean its the same quality wood. that's like saying Regular Maple is the same as AAAA maple. or like saying Brazilian rosewood is still rosewood. and you cant compare a SG and Les Paul. Look at the contour and thickness of the bodies. that's like comparing a telecaster and a strat.AND there not the same specs. Look at the Tuning machines and the bridge. Both things that play a huge role in the sound of the guitar.

  • So change the neck, Pickups,Tuners,Bridge, and neck and MAYBE it will sound close to the real thing. But your still not winning on the wood.

  • fender has a better feel the neck isnt set back and has a wammy bar and sound is more diverse

  • They're both great starter guitars, I went with a Les Paul myself when I first started

  • i think thats the worst les paul i have EVER seen

  • Comment removed

  • EXCEPT FOR GIBSON!!!!

  • I think he did a better job with the fender

  • <3 Epiphone :) Got this one :)

  • epiphone rocks and i have hat same guitar same colour two

  • LES PAUL, ALL THE WAY!

    good song choice too

  • Sponge Bob! lol. Anyway, long live Stagg!

  • i think its not exactly a fair comparison since we dont know how either one of them was set (tone wise)

  • are u kidding me, a squire is like the cheapest guitar u can get, and a les paul jr is pretty good for its crappy price. plus it reminds me of a tom delonge strat kinda.

  • LES PAUL JR.

  • the juniour wins because it makes a much nicer sound than the crappy squire.

  • yep I totally agree :D I just bought junior les paul epiphone and comparing to price, it's very good. i'm playing a bass and I needed an electric guitar but I haven't got much money so I've risked and bought EPi LP JR and it was worth of it ;)

  • i dont this might just be me but it seems like your struming really hard and your moving your arm alot and its unessacessry(i know i didnt spell that right)it wastes alot of energy and it can tire u out more try u know controling your arm more other wise ur really good

  • squier is 7,000 pesos in manila.,,

  • squier bullet strat is AUD$190 (australian dollars)

  • kooooool guitars =D and how much is the squire stratocaster? message me

  • i say les paul be cause i have one

  • same here. freakin great

  • Should've done this clean.

  • Same

  • squier sucks less than the junior. looks better too

  • Getting les paul :D

  • Ya I got the Epiphone les paul jr.

  • Im getting the les paul today

  • nice

  • nice man what kind

  • i dont know why you waste ur money on jr les paul...why don't you just get the original epiphone les paul? now THAT guitar sounds nice!

  • maybe some ppl like lpj better

  • what kind of retard would get a way crappier guitar when if he spent 20 bucks more he could get a way better guitar

  • MONEY. That's why. Some people don't have 500-600+ dollars to spend on a guitar.

  • the junior rocks with a seynore duncan sh-14 and grovers

  • don't play the cords in over-drive

  • I didn't hear that much of a difference

  • i couldnt have said it better!

  • umm u dont have to like it, so what if it has one pickup? thats why i want it. becuase it has a perfect punk rockish sound. becuase of the one pickup, idk what kind of pickup is on the epiphone jr. but on the gibson billie joe armstrong its a double stacked p-90.

  • do you know what an electric guitar is? pickups are things that PICK UP sounds that come from the strings the more the better sound. affinity has 3 pickups even if they are crappy lets say they count as 2 but the jr has 1 CRAPPY pickup so you do the math

  • dude... the amp affects the sound more so if you get a good amp you'll have better sound.. its not all about the pick up

  • i get what your saying but when i play i tend to only use the bridge pickup....

and i know the pick up sucks so thats why im you put a new pickup in

  • epihpone jr. pwns!!!

  • the playability on the lp junior is horrible, neither are great guitars, i have a junior

  • the les paul is best!!!

  • id vote the epiphone jr, but both are pretty shit, but there good starters, if i were you I'd go for something like epiphone studio or standard for your next guitar, i have an epi gothic and it play awsome, one of the best guitars I've ever had,

  • epiphone rulez

  • how well does the Jr stay in tune?

  • fine

  • squire owns so much but i do like les pauls but the squire wins the battle, i hav both and overall i do like the squire

  • both guitars umm... arent good. i had a junior les paul. and sqire strats arent good... no offence its a good starter guitar

  • im voting for and getting the Epiphone les paul jr.

  • its a great buy man

  • is the les paul worth the money im thinking of buying one

  • i think is a great guitar i got mine for 99 bucks bcuz it was on sale

  • the riff you played sounded a bit like shout at the devil
