Love the way the window is empty, the camera pans along the building, then Sapphire's in the window...then she closes the door with a loud creak, there's no second creak of anyone opening the door, yet Steel is suddenly in the room with her. It's much more subtle than modern TV but they've obviously materialised out of thin air. Classy show.

The series was just such a masterpiece. Relied almost entirely on drama, direction, camera work etc.

I loved the way these episodes felt like 2AM on a hot summer night, at a gas station at the end of nowhere.

I've watched a couple of episodes and it seems to be a bit like Quantum Leap, i.e. agents are dispatched by some higher being to correct problems in time. These problems seem to be created by another kind of being that is trying to disrupt time by changing the past. The "elements" don't appear to be anything to do with the type of elements on the Periodic Table, e.g. Jet, Sapphire and Steel. Jo looks like a blonde Cher.
