  • man he is hella good player

  • what a fucking amazing sounding guitar!!

  • lead guitarist of stained plays the first only seven string ever played prs 7 string they used it on there whole new album!

  • sounds like the guitar david gilmour plays

  • incredible sounding guitar damn!

  • I just bought a PRS tremonti se,i can say one thing if a Korean PRS plays this well,i can't even imagine an AMERICAN PRS...MY GOD!!!

  • That other guitar player looks like kerby kellie. The king of the blues winner from 09....

  • @trumpetgod2010 That's because it is...

  • Okay this is his own personal PRS.....just imagine the very best wood ever in that factory and best wound pickups and best everything are in that guitar!

  • Doug Sewell is no longer selling Sewell amps. Since joining PRS all his time is devoted to the PRS amps.

  • Why does he have Marshalls behind him? Shouldn't they all have PRS guitars and amps?

  • @Songwriter4God There were no PRS amps when this was filmed. They are actually playing through Sewell Amps. Doug Sewell is now the design engineer for PRS amps.

  • @zkat2 Ah. So he makes both PRS and his own amps? wow.

  • what song is this?

  • shine on you crazy diamond?

  • PRS dominates the guitar world no questions... it plays so easily and you can play any thing on it with a great tone including jazz, rock, funk, and it looks awesome

Paul Reed Smith is a guitar GOD

  • I was at this event. He gave the dude who set it all up a custom guitar with gold inlay. gold frets and tuning keys. it was beautiful. I though the dude was gonna cry.

  • I thought it was just him on stage..till they panned to the 3 noobs stuck in a Phonebooth in the corner..haha.

  • Great player! Good to see the guy at the helm of one of America's greatest guitar manufacturers can rock with the best of them

  • i have always lusted for a PRS modern eagle. but............no money down. :(

  • i have a prs se terero

  • PRS are the best guitars out there!!!! Mine is awesome and they all are!! Highest quality!!! AMAZING GUITARS!!!

  • I've always wanted a PRS guitar, and I'm looking into getting one soon. But I was wondering which model would be better for my style. I've looked at custom 24 and Modern Eagles. I know Breaking Benjamin uses them, but idk which kind they use. I like hard stuff like that, and there tone of there songs. And I use allot of drop tunings like them. Any advice?

  • I would suggest the Mcarty II. that is a great guitar! The Modern Eagle is really nice too. But if u want class then get a Santana MD or something like that. check out there web site or visit the place and test em' out. great choice on choosing a PRS!!!!

  • I would go and play some of the guitars and see what fits you, a guitar needs to feel right. You can make it sound the way you want later, but feel is the most important thing.

  • @BAHchikabowwow any would do. ME prob slightly better for your style. If you need a high gain like Opeth than go with CU 24

  • @gumplunger you hasve the HFS/VB and the dragon IIs mixed up. The HFS/VB combo is quite a bit hotter than the Dragon IIs.

  • he should go up there with a lespaul lol jk

  • @gnrrocks123 i could imagine the cricket sounds in the air from the shock of it lol .thats something i would do lol

  • hes givin me a lesson next week.

  • Modern Eagles are his favorite, although I am sure it is hard to decide in that factory, considering all the great guitars!

  • Pro guitarist, pro businessman :)

  • kinda looks like oteal on bass

  • great Paul!!!

  • i think the modern eagles are Paul's favourites of all of his guitars!!!

  • I would laugh my ass off if he was up there using an Ibanez or Laguna or something. Lmao.

  • Kirby Kelly absolutely rocks on slide

  • if only i was related to him...lol

  • i wonder what his family gets for christmas?

  • no tellin...

  • Comment removed

  • nothin much really they dont play much guitar.

  • very melodic...i like it!

  • What scale is he using? It sounds pretty epic.

  • im sure if you look up any Santana solo you'll find the scale and shape

  • Just becuase their friends doesnt mean they play the same. That's actually a pink floyd song....just saying don't generalize PRS and Santana

  • By no means am I generalizing PRS. Dont you think that there styles are very similar? You cant tell me that they dont sound the same and I dont listen to Pink Floyd so I wouldnt know the song if I heard it.

  • Nope, no Pink here, Paul is playing "Summertime" by George Gershwin. Tone to da bone man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful... i love this

  • Be funny if one of them were to be using Gibson guitars...lol

    Good Stuff!

  • i saw him playing live once and the bassist was using a squier, i don't think it was the same band though...

  • hey alec im getting a geetar leeson form paul next weekend isnt that sik!

  • thats great... i had for a while a nice se soapbar II, but then i had to give it back to my unkl...

  • is that mike ault too?

  • prs just came out with their own amp line.

  • hey, do you see those PRS prototype amps in the back next the marshalls. I saw and heard those at the PRS Experience 2008 and they are seriously the best amps in the world... just shockingly amazing. Crazy awesome.

  • oh yeah dude the new prs amps will kill but unless youve got some serious dough Id look else where. doug sewell is running the whole operation so you know theyre going to be awesome, that on top of a PRS name and Im sure the prices will be absurd. if I were you Id try to find a used sewell, itll get you the fantastic tone paul and his band have here as paul is a HUGE sewell enthusiast

  • yeah i know, i'm just waiting to see how much they cost, it's gonna be insane. But my gosh, I was at the Experience this year, and they all sound AWESOME!!! an they even look cool. Got the one they had out for people to use as the wallpaper for my phone.

Yeah, that's my dream amp. so your saying sewell are good. hmm.... i'll have to look into them.

  • from some interviews it seems like theyre just modded versions of sewell texaplexs. if you got one youd be able to nail this tone

  • Summertime...

  • prs guitars are the best. i got a custom 22 today for 900 dollars used. lol deal of the century i know.

  • holy shit thats soo amazing i wish a deal like that would come by for me damn

  • well. i bought a fender strat deluxe for 100 from a hobow, perfect condition

  • also amazing

  • amazing..

  • I got a mesa boogie lonestar classic for $900 last christmas haha. havent changed the tubes yet and its still kicking ass. thank you ebay!

  • This really sounds amazing. They are using Sewell amps and wow don't they just sing.

  • dudes i know prs and i am playing at one of his shows at rams head as a rythm guiatrist.( I know him through my dad- high school and Paul thoght i was pretty good when he came over to my dads house to go golfing. then he asked me to play with him next summer.)IT ROCKS!

  • wow ure either completely bullshtting or the luckiest mo$#$@#$ alive rite

    now

  • no iam seriuos dude- i know its crazy

  • thats whats good son

where are you guys gonna be performing?

any shows in Jersey or NY

hook it up with a free backstage pass yoooo

  • actually its a one time show in MD

  • Wonder what kinda guitars they play?

  • Hes playing a PRS Custom model

  • it's a modern eagle

  • ...what.....the......froggy......

  • Nice, reminds me of Pink Floyd kinda. Sounds like something off of Dark Side of the Moon.

  • i think its shine on you crazy diamond by pink floyd

  • That would explain it haha. Wish You Were Here... Dark Side of the Moon... same thing XD

  • that's some fuckin juicy ass tone!

  • woooo! go paul! this guy's awesome! I guess you have to be a good player to make good guitars!

  • Paul ROCK'S!! He's playing a Modern Eagle.There a Sick Guitar man!!

  • Wow he does justice to his guitars.

  • After my tricked out Les Paul was stolen, I bought a 57 re-issue strat, then in 88' I went to get my "dream" guitar, a Rich Bitch. When I played it, it was a colpete joke next to this off brand Paul Reed Smith, standard, cherry color. So glad I bought it back then. the only gripe, chrome trim, black knobs, but cream color PU rings? $1200 was a good buy. through a 71' souped twin reverb with orig alteclansings, its great.

  • PRS puts so much soul into his playing, especially at 30 seconds! Damn he makes that guitar cry! I'm buying a PRS!

  • I have 4 PRS guitars... although I have many LesPauls and Fenders that are great too.. Nothing can compare to the PRS..

  • @DeanLisi

i would like to know if theres a big difference to a wide thin and a wide fat neck?

  • @magicstar911 Yeah the THIN is pretty thin. They are both nice in their own way.. I have 2 wide thins and 2 wide fat. Try them out see which one you like.. They're insane guitars. Worth every penny. I am selling the 10th anniversary Model I have.

  • @DeanLisi

is the thin neck more like a stratocaster?

i will try them out but im so curious bout that lol

i heard only good stuff bout PRS so i want one

(prs se custom gb<3) it has the wide thin neck

  • @magicstar911 I would say that the regular PRS neck is more like a stratocaster neck. the wide fat and wide thin necks are both wider than a typical strat neck. There's so many varieties of strat necks out there so it's hard to compare

  • @mattlittler89 nvm im now a proud owner a a prs se singlecut gb and i just can say its that awesome! thanks anyways

    cheers :)

  • I wonder what kind og guitars they play.

  • the guitar player owns PRS factory,hm maybe GIBSON??LOOOOOOL,prs they play, obvious(i think modern eagle)

  • Modern Eagle seems to be paul's weapon on choice. I'm more for the 513, but then again I don't own one of the best guitar comps. in the world.

  • technical

  • TROPPO BELLE SE CHITARRE!

  • If you can at all afford it, go for the real thing...I've played the carvin look-a-likes, and the SE's -NOT in the same caliber IMO. Heavy price tag, but you'll never replace it.

  • Yup, a guitar for life.

  • Wow I wish I owned a PRS...a good one at least...any PRS under $1000 generally isnt as good...and I dont have the finances to own a good one...bummer..anyways hats off to Paul.

  • PRS SE is a fabulous guitar. I think you can get one for under 1000. I have two that were given to me and they kick ass and are band quality.

  • se's are good as shit

  • shit must be pretty good then

  • I met Paul yesterday at Daves in LaCrosse. The funny thing is, he doesnt consider himself a great guitarist. I guess a true genius is never satisified - thats what makes his guitars so great. A great musician and a great, unpretentious person.

  • I meet Paul at NAMM a few years ago. I went to his private party at the Galaxy theatre. He got up on stage kicked everyone's ass. When he stepped down he asked me if did ok. I don't think he realizes how good he is.

  • Paul is so good. His guitars are so awesome because he has so much passion for music and guitars and he knows what a guitarist needs. I have a custom 22.The tone is unbelievable.

  • yea man i have a santana love it to death forgot all about my other guitars now that i have a prs l will never go back sweeeeeeeet!

  • that was band of a thousand names.

  • been watchin him since the early 80's when his

guitar shop was a small space above a local bar in annapolis. his old bank was bank of a thousand names.

  • Paul started with band of a thousand names at Charlie's Westside in Annapolis MD.Everytime they played the name changed.I had other friends that played in that band.Paul Reed's a Great guitar player and maker.Hats off to you Paul

  • Nice to see the man playing as well making a brill guitar. I own a `89 Vintage Yellow Custom 24 10top with birds, and up till now have not founds anything that looks/sounds better. As they say `Simply The Best` Thanks Paul..

  • i've had at least 7 PRS guitars

my favorite is the CUSTOM 22

uhhhhhh, I think PRS plays guitar very well.

i recently bought a TOM ANDERSON, I love it more than a PRS. its the CLASSIC, i just like the FEEL more

  • Is there anything that Paul Reed Smith can't do when it comes to music or guitar's?Man! He's awesome! :)

  • thats cool! i know paul reed smith too. hes a nice guy

  • thanks for posting !

  • paul is a great guy and a great guitarist.

trust me, i've heard way better than this.

    i personally know the man.

  • I've met Paul but can't say I know him, however, a good friend of mine works for him and says that Paul is extremely smart, very generous and really cares a lot about the artists PRS endorses and the guitars they build. Paul is not a Joe Bonamassa but I stand by my opinion that he plays well.

  • Wonder if he plays anything but PRS. Dude's gotta own a few Fenders or Gibsons

  • Goede band

  • Its sounds like a version of Summertime or similar sort of feel.

Ive a 24 fret Prs . touch the trem and the whole tuning rises by 1/4 tone.Had the nut done, trem set but no good. HELP!

  • make sure that all 6 screws are perfectly level. If one is just a hair off, the trem wont return to pitch. A trick I did, that works very well is to remove the 4 inside screws. This allows the trem to float on the 2 outside screws. This allows for easier adjustments, and the trem returns to pitch perfectly. Hope this helps.

  • You guys really think so? I think paul is a... decent guitarist... Honestly... I think hes a bad guitar player. But i have a custom 24 and i just convinced my dad to buy the standard 22 he now has and we both love our guitars to death and dont play anything else. Best guitars on the planet.

  • He personally made some of santanas guitars

  • I own two PRS Customs (22 and 24 fret models), and they are easily my favorite guitars. Nice to know that the owner is an actual guitar player - I'm sure that has a lot to do with the final product.

  • nothings better than a prs

  • what's the name of the song?

  • Shine on you crazy diamond?Isn`t it?

  • dam paul is awesome. never thought he'd be that good.

  • Damn tasteless

  • Can't play that on a Fender Esquire.

  • great music, prs guitars are the best out there

  • we are all intitled to our own opinions and my opinion is that ed roman quick silver guitars are the best guitars in the world

  • Ed Roman is a cool dude and all, but he blows soo much smoke out of his ass on his site. I agree with his points that PRS is overpriced for a CNC built instrument, but I disagree that CNC's make a guitar bad. Personally, I don't think there is any "best guitar" in the world. However, Ibanez and Jackson both do it for me. Ibanez Prestige series, whether they be a Japanese RG, or a Korean S, really do it for me, and Jackson Soloists of any kind just have a magic sound to them.

  • have u ever played one of edromans quicksilver guitars are they anygood like better then prs

  • I was at this show too. Actually I saw several sets by the PRS Band throughout the weekend. The other lead guitarist here that is sitting in is Kirby Kelly. You'll find him here on YouTube sitting in with Bugs Henderson also.

  • i was at that show. the stratobalsters were amazing

  • I was there too. GREAT show! Loved seeing all the Sewell amps on stage with these guys too. They all sounded awesome!

  • i bet they use those to test the models =]

  • They use an old Mesa/Boogie of Santana's to test every single guitar. That's actually a guy's job, just sit there and play every PRS through that amp.

  • guitar world have a killer closet of amps though

i'd love to work for them testing guitars =]
