Interesting video and I almost completely agree. Though I do have a question about your assertion about money being 'property'. How does this statement stand in light of money (US dollar) being an instrument of debit to the Federal Reserve?
"The right to retain ones' wealth" what a downright stupid thing to claim as an inalienable human right. Human right? Hell no. See: fraud. "The US is not an absolute democracy" ...your point being? America IS a democracy. Completely an indirect democracy. Your fears that the majority will oppress you (presumably by taking your money) are completely ridiculous. If you are alluding to taxes, it's as clear as day that America was formed on them too. A majority won't vote away their rights. Ever.
@Fuctmentality go do some studying..... It is Republic and that 's what America is.... That is why we say this...
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
@Roooskee READ A DICTIONARY. The USofA is a democratic republic, a form of representative democracy, if you're too damned retarded to use a fucking English dictionary, the problem is not my lack of studying, it's your being too retarded to use a dictionary. Seriously, Merriam Websers, Oxford, IDGFF just look the god damned mother fucking term up you utterfuck retard.
@Roooskee Transaltion, "I'm too stupid to come up with a way to defend the fact I don't know what the term 'democracy' means nor will I defend the fact feel it's my oblagation to display my ignorance proudly, so I'm going to point out that you cursed at me for being so retarded I can't even use a dictionary to look up what the term 'democracy' means." because as we all know using words that some find objectionable is worse than being too stupid to know you're stupid."
@Fuctmentality You can rant and call your silly names all you want... I won't stoop to your level.... I know what a democracy is, and what a Republic is.... You wanting to be anarchists, and think that your democracy of mob rules and there is not need for laws is not what AMERICA is..... We are a REPUBLIC............
@Roooskee Yawn, you notice how I never said the USofA isn't a republic? That's because it is, it's also a demopcracy, unless you deliberatly redefine the term "democracy" to avoid calling the United States one. In which case you're obfuscating the term & muddying the waters of communication for no good reason. Now go cry to your mommy that I cursed at you for being too stupid to know you're stupid & ask her to sahow you how to use a dictionary, you retarded fucking crybaby.
Wrong about the majority electing govt officials.. It is not the majority, it is the electoral college, which does not allow the bigger states to dictate the outcome of elections.. Bush did not have a majority.. He wasn't the first to win with a minority.. Democracy is impossible aside from small groups..
@oscarfootmann, in the case of the presidential election, your are correct... The Electoral College has elected a candidate who lost the popular vote four times in history: 1824, 1876, 1888 and 2000. Thanks for commenting! ~MID
@MarxIsDead Were he flatly correct it would be an across the board outcome. However, it is true that the Electoral College is immensely critical in the determination of our Presidential elections. I have been telling people this over and over again and yet, you still have hacks all over the news thinking Newt, Santorum, Huntsman are realistically in the race. None of them will be on the ballot in several states.
I could've done a better job grammatically on that last line.
@Scottit, so true... 86% of the total income tax revenue flowing into the treasury comes from the top 25% of income earners. Get this, the top 50% pays 97% of all fed income taxes. The bottom 50% of income earners in this country pay only 3% of the total revenue collected by the federal government. The tax burden of the wealthy is insanely disproportionate, inherently unfair, and flat-out unconstitutional... think I'll do a video on this. Thanks for commenting! Great point! MID
Corporations said MONEY is the Freedom of Speech. Who do u believe? They are a minority waging a war on workers and destroying their families with slave wages and creating sweatshops. Why do you say 'left'? There's crooks in both parties. What party do YOU belong to? And if independent which party do YOU support 'cause there is so few candidates for that party u can count them on one hand! What are you? Repub or Democrat?
@Licmycat, Declining wages are the result of a bad economy, which government caused by keeping interest rates too low for too long, and by encouraging reckless borrowing by forcing mortgage brokers to be "CRA compliant." Enterprise didn't cause the economic collapse, high unemployment, and declining wages. Government meddling in our economy is the cause. I see business and market activity as healthy and good, not a war being waged against workers. Workers are the beneficiaries of corporations.
@Licmycat, Geez.. one more thing. As far as party affiliation, I used to be a hard-core, die hard, card thumping, door knocking, phone calling, Pelosi bashing, Reagan praising Republican. At the moment, I'm very disenchanted with the grand ole party, and I have problems with some of the things happening in the tea party. So, for now, just call me a "party-less conservative." I do agree with you that honest politicians are hard to come by at the moment--in both parties. :) Thx, MID
@MarxIsDead What is happening in the tea party movement that you do not like? I would think that you would be strongly in favor of the tea party since it was the tea party that has slowed the damage the current administration has inflicted.
@unlikelypatriot1, I should clarify that statement... I actually support EVERYTHING the Tea Party stands for. My concern is the segmentation of the conservative movement into splinter groups. Several smaller conservative movements can have less political power than a larger unified movement. But, in all honesty, it doesn't seem to be having an impact because the tea party candidates are running as Republicans. That is my only concern with it. I totally dig the TP values - 100%!
@MarxIsDead Thanks for the clarification. You raise some points that I have been anxious about as well. I think that we all know that tea party candidates run as republicans because of the belief that the tea party can co-opt party or bring the party back to its constitutional roots. Taking over the republican party would be easier and gain quicker results then creating a third party, but this strategy my not work as some tea party politicians may either be co-opted themselves or may
@MarxIsDead cont'd - actually be more progressive than they originally lead on i.e. Scott Brown. Ultimately the creation of a third party will destroy the republican party and wreck the country for a time (as Democrats win elections due to the vote split) until the tea party prevails over the establishment republican party. If not, I fear that our nation will fall...
The Founders were much more educated in history than Americans today. They learned from the Greek assasination of Socrates by a simple majority. Democracy is mob rule, where the majority has all the rights. Our Founders understood the impact that the press would have on influencing public opinion, which is why we have freedom of press and speech, but now the press is controlled by monopolies, and speech is regulated by political correctness.

Correct. Our republic has been changing to mob rule.
There are many things that the majority want, which are against the rights of others.
The lower 47% of earners pay no Federal income tax, while the top 5% pay 60%.
Very unfair, but the left think unfair in opposite direction--that the high earners should pay even more.
