Premature stoppage for sure, you have to give a guy a chance to recover and comeback - referee panicked there. If Nover takes 2-3 more clean shots then by all means stop the fight but man you can't go and stop a fight after a fighter is rocked for ONE SECOND. Its times like this when you could argue in MMA there should be a ten count like in boxing.

Lavigne is a great referee and I don't change my mind even after he screwed up this second time with the same mistake (like the matt brown fight )

this just goes to show how good is this guy cause he wants to make the right decision and changes that's why he made the first mig mistake (brown fight)

and now he saw nover limp and that wasn't a mistake, it just happen that nover recovered pretty fast, other won't.

So yes maybe lavigne should have waited more,

But he is stil a gret ref

i realize ur entitled to ur opinion and i respect it but this guy cant keep making mistakes like this man. i think he needs to seriously brush up on his ref skills befoer he gets back into the cage. honestly i feel like he robbed us of a great fight. there are plenty of ppl who wanted to c nover fight. i wouldnt give 2 shits if he was fired. he should at least be penalized in some way

If you talk about a ref that makes mistakes all the time then yes fire him,

But Lavigne has shown to be a great ref until the matt brown fight.

so he makes 1 mistake(the brown fight) and you want to fire him ?

Nover wasn't a mistake, it was bad luck.

all other refs make mistakes, yet they are still there.

Lavigne usually gives people time to recover, he just saw nover limp so he wanted to save him, and it was too late to change the decision.

But you better remmember his good calls in the silva fight, in the davis/taylor fight, and in all the others fight.

I don't know the guy or anything like that, I just like a decisive and proffesional referee like yves lavigne, and I a fan of his, and I know he made a mistake or two but he will evolve form that to be better.

i understand fully what u r saying but it seems as of late, dana is kicking out fighters left and right when they lose 3 or more fights. i feel it should be the same with refs who continue to make bad calls that end fights... IMHO
