I finally got the chance to meet Mr. Awesome at the Big Bang event. I do not doubt that he was - and perhaps still is - one of the best MC players ever, and could even have a reasonable complaint or two regarding his score for all I know. But Douglas said it best below: It is a shame that he does not/cannot apply the same motivations to trying to improve his score as he does in producing material like the above. IMO whatever message that might have shone through gets lost in the shuffle....
Although poeple may think he is a slimeball , I agree with him about the direct feed.
It invalidates a score .
I found the degradation of the national anthem distasteful .
This is all a mute point now as Billy Mitchell played donkey kong at the international video game hall of fame and took the record with a score on Donkey Kong of1,062,800 and "Donkey Kong Jr. 1,270,900. In front of referees .
On side note though , I don't see any footage anywhere on the net of him playing to this score .
@padrinot He didn't play at the Hall of Fame, he showed his direct feed video at the HoF of DK playing at another time. You wont find any footage of the game actually being played. I don't know why. I find that pretty strange. Only him show direct feed videos.
