the fundamental unfairness of life is problematic for the ethics of humans
case in point the person that made this video is more beautiful and intelligent than the average person notice the comments from males and consider the effects of a beautiful creature such as this on males around her
the only question is how far the average male would go to be with her, including utterly lying, manipulating and treating like crap those that in anyway could reduce his chances
In a course such as this I don't think you will ever learn about what is ethical. The only value here is learning about what others are saying about ethics---that is, the history of what has been written on this subject. But those poor, wide-eyed college freshmen go into it expecting to be illuminated with wisdom, not realizing that their own personal ethics have as much validity as those of Aristotle or Kant. But, sshh, don't say anything or those philosophy professors might be out of a job.
saved my butt for my assignment ! thanks for posting this up ! :D

I don't understand how one is to "be a courageous person" except by being willing to do things that require courage.
Aristotle sounds like someone Mark Twain would get along with.
For those of us who never got this handout, perhaps you could put the unfamiliar terms in the description or the tags.

Can a virtue ethicist regard only one trait (empathy) as being morally good?
AfricanPrince 1 year ago
@AfricanPrince But what happens when that person is faced with a situation that requires another trait?
