  • Poor guy...will he EVER escape?

  • Actually one of the creators of the first atari games is the owner of mac

  • Fuck apple atari created the ipad an the only way apple repays them is by making atari greatest hits for iphones/ipads works for me but id also like an atari app tyat plays all their systems games come on apple wat r u wating for

  • Press 1 for man being raped against TV screen :D

  • 0:17 how'd that guy get an ipad?

  • That game is a bit like life "I'm not trapped, I'm not trapped". One maze after another, after another..etc.. until one day you wake up in the morning and say "oh fuck it!".

  • They think i am trapped but i'm just gay?

  • He have a IPAD :O

  • @pachecopacheco atari 2600 pwns iPad :3

  • This game promotes masochism. That guy Is In a frustated situation and he enjoys It.

  • My older brother played that game all the time.

  • Did he just check the map on an iPad?

  • @ChildsViewReviews yeah, that was the Ipad for shure ;))

  • lol! time travel! that guy gt an ipad!!! ^ ^

  • This here game deserved to have an intellivision port!

  • @exposed97

We had to crawl before we could walk. It's called progress. The problem with Atari wasn't that it was Archaic, it's popularity just outlived it's time.

  • 0;16 Didnt know IPads existed back then...

  • every time i used to see this it felt like i was watching a movie

  • Lol that guy has an iPad

  • This game was pretty scary for a 2600 game. The music that got louder as the monsters got closer was like the white noise in Silent Hill.

  • the guy have a TABLET! LOL! :-O

  • "I'm not trapped, I just like to hang out in this maze"

  • 1 person can't find the exit

  • CBS made the game?

  • 1 Dislike? Wow, people fukken love Tunnel runner

  • @exposed97 It's pretty much reversed nowadays. Ads don't have anything cartoonish or exciting but the game is true to life and flashy. Only thing is, those old games can still be fun and appreciated for its simple charm. It's a shame you can't see that.

  • I love how the guy has this "I just went insane with denial" look on his face at the end of the commercial.

That said, this game was actually a pretty amazing job when it came to programming, I don't know how the programmers did it but I'm sure this one pushed the 2600 as much as possible.

  • @exposed97 In 1983 this was AMAZING. Only the ColecoVision also did 3D (Zaxxon was in "isometric" 3D)

  • Doom For Atari 2600

  • 0:17 ipad

  • atari actualy designed the iPAD

  • this is the best game ever invented

  • CRAZE MAZE yaaa the bomb

  • CRAZE MAZE WAS GREAT

  • MAZE FETISH!

  • The guy had an iPad! The VCS sure was amazing!

  • it's interesting how i can program and design any given atari game in less than a day. the challenge would be to keep it vectored. good times... i used to play this back in about '88 and as a kid i would get scared shitless once the game would freeze and flash colors and make that awful sound. i think that's the reason i get scared of the "national emergency broadcast test" beeeeep.

  • story of my life

  • They used to show this ad during the commercial break for Radio 1990 on the USA Network

  • Yeah, that ghost certainly is pretty darn intelligent.

  • preety innovative stuff the grand daddy of all first person shooter games

  • Yes,you're trapped dude. In YOUR MIND!

  • This game would of been great after hitting the bong

  • He realized later that the TV was turned off the entire time.

  • Nice 3D game.

  • do you notice that it has no gameplay?

  • @flameman9 Dude, it's 3D in 1983... can't beat that!

  • no gameplay

  • that guy is on such an acid trip

  • these kinds of commercials actually persuade me to buy games as opposed to modern commericals, weird

  • was this the first first person game ever?

  • any console atari 2600 or newer can do 3d games

  • THR GUY SOUNDS WAY GAY

  • yo i had this game in 2nd grade

  • Yeah, looks like a good game. cfjackson, you're a moron.

  • lol i remember atari had the best video game covers, but the games were stickmen and lines but hey i didnt care, i was a kid in the 80's and i loved the atari!!

  • @bonethugzeast99 Yeah. There was so much room for the imagination. Today's young gamers have none. If a game doesn't have all the best graphics in the world it doesn't matter to them that the gameplay excels.

  • I couldnt agree more. Back then programmers did so much with so little and the gamers ran all the way with it.

  • @bonethugzeast99 I'm a kid in the 2000s and I love the PS2 and Xbox 360! I don't know if I would of been a gamer during the time of the Atari, I'm big on story and advanced gameplay.

  • @SHODANFan street fighter is advanced gameplay son and you're too young to be any good at it

  • @AntichristDemoncore Whatever you say. I honestly am not interested in that game, and I'm going to politely ask you to stop trying to cause problems.

  • @SHODANFan yeah nobody has any interest in games they are gonna get their ass kicked in anyways. Any game with a focus on story takes no skill (final fantasy fans fuck off those games do take no real skill)

  • Man, this was THE best game on atari at the time, and hardly anyone had it. Shame, because I'm, dead serious, this game WAS the best at the time, I'm positive.

  • hey they use the fairlight video to produces this tv comercial

  • Oh how I love these commercials...

  • Why didn't they show the in-game graphics, instead of the dude on top of the graphics? Looks like the ol' bait-and-switch to me.

  • They do show the in-game graphics! Its just they have the person standing in front of it.

This was the first 3d maze game I can think of. Over 100 levels, only thing was, there were no weapons. You just avoided the monsters and found your way out of the maze. As you went up levels, the mazes got harder, and your map would get worse until around level 10 where your map becomes completely useless.

  • 'I'm not trapped, I'm not trapped', LOL!

  • looks like a fun game

  • That dude looks like Tom Welling from Smallville.

  • I had this game! One of the best of the 2600 titles, IMHO. I loved the high speed animation when you found the level up exit.
