  • incredible performance... and if anyone has a few spare minutes why not take a look at my bands tribute to an incredible tribute

  • Don't compare stevie to Jimi !!!

Matter of fact don't compare anyone to Jimi !!

Srv as like Jimi was and still is one of a kind ... Moulds broke when them two were made .

  • For those who want to compare stevie vs jimi like fanboys remember its still Jimi's song.

  • I believe he can actually play guitar.

  • there is talent, and there is dedication. then there is genius. SRV was the complete package.

  • Maldita Publicidade!!Ninguém quer ver propaganda antes do vídeo...

Isso é uma grande falta de respeito com os usuários do you tube..

Ja ta perdendo a graça o you tube...

    Graças ao MALDITO MARKETING!!

  • My favorite part is 0:00 to 11:15 when he plays guitar really good

  • is it just me or is this better than the hendrix version of this song?

  • @tcecil21 Yes

  • beyond bad ass!

  • AWSOME,NOTICETHE SNAKE BRACELET ON HIS RIGHT WRIST, BOY KNOWS WHAT'S HE'S ABOUT!!!

  • @007Liser what does he know hes about? i noticed the bracelet...

  • Comparisons to Jimi are NULL AND VOID and all you fucking nimrods should know that. The son pays homage to the father, both are masters of their domain.

  • No comparison to Jimmy, their using two diffrent technologies and Jimmy played left handed producing a very distinct sound. Excelent JRV but not so good Jimmy

  • Still looking for someone who can play like Stevie Ray, no one out there even comes close. I compare this version against Hendrix and Kenny Wayne Shepard and it's no contest, SRV made it look so easy.

  • @Bobbykpghpa By the way, this statement is so absurd. There's a million guys out there that sound exactly like SRV. You won't find them playing on radio because no one cares about a dead music genre, but you will find them playing in bars all over this country.

What you won't find is anyone who sounds remotely like Hendrix. Ever.

  • @legunncat tell me who sunds like stevie ray vaughn, r who is even as god as stevie, dont get me wrong hendrix was an experience, but stevie ray was evil with that guitar

  • @axel4clover1 Go down to your local guitar store and ask the guys who work there how many people know Stevie's riffs inside out. I personally know two guys that sound exactly like him. One of them actually makes a living playing, goes by the name of Chris Tofield. Of course, he sounds exactly like Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Randy Rhodes, Lonny Mack and other players. Stevie rocked no doubt, but let's be real, his skills aren't exactly unconquerable to the determined player.

  • That is a great achievement, but in the end we really remember the artists who leave their own fingerprints.

  • @VoiceofReason2112 And the media darlings are often the ones empowered to do so. It's all balderdash, luck and opportunity.

  • I LOVE THIS AXE!!!!!

  • What kind of strat is that O_O!!!!

  • @PhysicalGraffiti10 Custom mad deal called a Hamiltone.

  • I bought a Stevie Ray Vaughan CD yesterday and it was the first time I have heard his music. I'm amazed that I'd never listened to him before. I just got into the blues maybe 2 years ago and I've been listening to a lot of the Mississippi Delta Blues, but this is awesome!! I'm definitely going to get more from SRV!!!!

  • Stevie raY aughan iiii lovee youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Greatest bluesgitarrist ever!!! Been listening to this wonderful guy for nearly twenty years now... Love you Stevie!!

  • 3:05 What chord?

  • @ObbaWalkthroughs e7 i'mma guess at the 12th fret

  • 0:08 please stevie play voodoo chile, jimi is with you!!

  • @Brandon18valensi You know it !!

  • 1 dislike??What, are you kidding!!!

  • the high note 4:36

  • His tone from 9:00 to the end of the song is killing me! I want it soo bad!

  • @austinw17 just use a wah with some boost

  • @Brandon18valensi No, there's also a Vibrato effect being used. Either from the Twin Reverb amp itself or the Dunlop Univibe he had.

  • THE FUCKING BEST THERE IS!!! THE END!

  • Bonham's doing his drums now.

  • ahh the nights in Austin SRV at his peak were magic....!!! Ty Bro Bob for reminding me. wish U woulda been there with me and Rose.. Funny thing is u were in Austin, we just did not know it.. Be well For you.. ty

  • he is missed............~~~~

  • anyone knows what guitar that is please , it's sooo nice!! :P

  • @DD1513 it's a custom built hamiltone, given to Stevie from Billy Gibbons (if you don't know him, he's the guitarist in ZZ top)

  • my friend was at alpine valley,il, when srv`s helcopter crashed,my friend said he didnt feel the same after that.

  • Y Jimi sonreia desde el cielo...

  • 9:39 this riff rock!!

  • nice version...srv does it so well

really trippin ..see you in the next world

great playin, jimi would be proud

  • Really not a fan of Layton's syncopated drumming on this version.

  • JIMI was with him always.

  • Good stuff, Thanks for sharing!

  • Why is there even a dislike button?

  • He definitely looks stoned.

  • its srv, no mistakes

  • @cromag4golf I have got 3 Hendrix live DVDs and 3 SRV live DVDs. And I can assure you Jimi is not better the SRV live. In the studio however Hendrix was better in my opnion, using all his effects, and his brilliant overdubbing.

  • 3:28 - 3:38 = eargasm

  • @RAIDERFLORES 0:00 - 11:15 eargasm.

  • Before he puttin it on fire: 'this is fo Jimi'.

  • what kind of guitar is he playing?

  • @Plimsoul97

A custom made Hamiltone, made by Jim Hamilton. It was a gift to Stevie from Billy Gibbons.

    The Guitars nickname was "Main."

  • mistakes everywhere

  • @mossberg451 this was at the peak of drug use, his playing isnt his best, its still amazing but not his best.

  • @mossberg451 What do you mean "mistakes"?

  • Amazing.
