Thks - I've heard dozens of arrangements of this song growing up - it was "covered" by everyone who could - or thought they could sing - it is poetry- I've considered it as one of the greatest songs of the 20th century. I remember the lyricist being interviewed by Johnny Carson - Carson was appreciative of the lyrics. Fabulous imagery from the words...
