  • The Klingberg Wing was based on the Horten III and IV designs. I used

    modified NACA airfoil sections, which was the root of the problem. The wing

    was prone to tip stall and there seemed to be a bias to the right side, so

    I suspect there was a slight difference in washout between the two sides.

  • this is a lovely video of great work! May I ask if you based this wing on the H X, and what sections you used? Finally what caused the destruction of the wing?

  • I designed and built this wing back in the mid '80s and is based on the Horten Brothers' work. It flew OK, but there was a design flaw with the airfoil selection/modification. The Wing was destroyed while flying at Tory Pines. No plans are available due to the design flaw.
