What happens when you die? Have you told lies, stolen, used God's name in vain(10 Commandments)? If yes, then you're a liar, thief, and a blasphemer in the sight of God. When you die & be judged by God, you'll be guilty of sin, & go to Hell! But God sent His Son Jesus to shed His blood & die on a cross for your sins, He was buried & rose again from the dead on the third day. If you'll believe the Gospel(Jesus died for your sins, was buried & resurrected)you'll not perish & have eternal life
its not as good as the original but i think def leppard are really good at covers and they always choose the best songs to play and i think the band has the same music taste as me!!
I think it is a very good cover of the song. I don't believe DL ever intended to do a better version of the song than T-Rex. It always bothers me when people say "It isn't as good as the original". Of course it isn't. It was never meant to be.
its a good cover but as per usual a cover. will never beat T-rex as they are the best british band as tied with led zep. 2 great bands who will never play again wht a shame :(
@AshtonArcher Kind of funny when you consider that Marc Bolan was originally described by music critics as having a Larry-the-lamb voice. A true case of the pot calling the kettle black. And to call Joe Elliott's voice weedy and little is an absolute joke. If you ever made the effort to listen to DL's albums containing original material you would know that he has one of the strongest voices in the history rock. Better than Marc Bolan in my opinion. But he was one of the 70s' best.
@RocketSwitch625UK I don't want to listen to Def Leppards albums; I don't like Def Leppard!
Joe Elliot's voice is a very generic 'rock' voice which is boring to my ears I'm afraid. Not listened to this version of 20th Century Boy since I last posted a comment on it; but to me the voice here does sound thin and weedy.
@AshtonArcher This guy needs to realise that however much music snobs hate Def Leppard they have probably influenced more bands than T-Rex. Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Poison, Warrant etc. and even some newer artists such as Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. I could probably name well over 100 artists that have been influenced by Def Leppard in one way or another. Ashton will have to be put on suicide watch when the Rock Of Ages movie comes out later in the year. Poor little boy! LOL
@RocketSwitch625UK I'm not a music snob, I just don't like Def Leppard. You are probably wrong about the influence of Bolan; he's been far more influential than Def Leppard. I mean they aren't even the best band from Sheffield!
@AshtonArcher Dear Ashton, I have a couple of question for you. Who was the first band to play at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium? Also which band from Sheffield is one of only 5 rock bands to receive the prestigious RIAA Diamond Award not once but twice? Over 65million albums and 100million records sold worldwide. Still rocking hard after 34 years and getting up the noses of people like you. Pulp and The Human League will never match that. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it son.
@RocketSwitch625UK Who cares? Do you value everything in the number of records sold, that just means there are lot more morons like you around! David Bowie has sold less records than Def Leppard, does that mean he is less influential? No. You should realise that Def Leppard are just a niche band for denim clad rockers. You like it, fair enough but they're not a hugely influential band as the only other bands they've influenced are other such generic rock acts (Bon Jovi - also not that great).
@AshtonArcher Oh bloody hell moron, you are completely WRONG about Def Leppard only influencing "other such generic rock acts". One example is Lady Gaga. She has just announced to the world that her forthcoming album is heavily influenced by DL and I know that her previous album was also influenced by them as she spoke about it last year. I seriously can't wait to see Tom Cruise singing Def Leppard songs in Rock Of Ages. I'm sure it will help boost their album sales even more.
@RocketSwitch625UK Jesus H. Corbett, you really are a numpty. Only the worst type of moron (i.e. yourself) would be interested in such a film. You really are a clown with poor taste in music.
@AshtonArcher WRONG again. I don't even want to see all of the film as I can't stand Russell Brand or Catherine Zeta Jones, but I know it will help DL shift a few more records. Now go back to listening to your Radiohead albums you sad anoraky tosspot.
@RocketSwitch625UK Jesus Christ you are more of a moron than I guessed! Sit back, close your eyes and have a big wank over a Def Leppard album cover. You are by very definition of the word a moron. Def Leppard = boring. NFT.
@AshtonArcher Def Leppard = boring??? How delusional can you get? This guy is one of those trendy haters who fears Def Leppard for a reason. He lost the argument before it even started and he knows it. Def Leppard = best band of all time. Now, refute that arse face!
@RocketSwitch625UK Just like that boring band you love, arguing you is boring. You're the delusional one son, better than The Beatles? Don't back me laugh! Now go back to wanking over pictures of Joe Elliot, king of the morons. I'm not going to respond to anymore of your tripe.
why?

This is a good cover - Def Leppard recorded this as a tribute to T.Rex, a band they admire greatly. It is a kind of homage - and it rocks!

Okay, without swearing. This version is rubbish, no depth with poor guitars and a weedy little voice. Def Leppard Sheffield's worst...

Thats better. And a good opinion. Joe's voice has always been weak live. Although this is in the studio.
