  • Have you seen the new trex 450? Looks cool, looks like a mini trex 500 :)

  • Hi, I have just done a vid on my trex 250, watch it here, watch?v=jih5pox4RV4&fmt=22

  • My un-boxing vid is done, please Watch in HD, here it is watch?v=rPC46VPXa1A&feature=channel_page

  • Hey. Is it built and flying yet dude? I did find it a quick build considering it's size. Ian

  • I'm building right now, should be ready by saturday (tomorrow) make sure to watch my unboxing vid, thanks.

  • I ordered the battery you recommend, it's out of stock at the moment, I ordered a extreme v2 battery as well the other battery should be here hopefully soon.

  • Hey Matey. They are good batterys and give good cycle life as well which is important. Slightly lower capacity than the Align packs at only 800mah but still capable of decent flight time. Ian

  • Thanks, my 250 just come today, I have done an unboxing and should be up in about 5 or 6 hours time.

  • I have just bought one from fast lad performance, should be here by friday, I saw this vid and thought, I want one! I will use the align servos for cyclicks (DS210) and the JR DS380g for tail, I will also use my gy401 for gyro and ar6100 reciver, which battery do you recommend, I have not got that yet, thanks.

  • Hey Matey. LOL, you're gonna have more models than me soon ;-) For batterys, apart from the Align packs which work well, I'm also using some OverLander Extreme 35C 800mah 3s packs. These give a good power increase and their not expensive either. Only problem is you got to solder on your own connector, I'm still using the 2 pin JST's with no problems. Will email you the link. Ian

  • Thanks, he he, yeah, I had to sell all my DS games and my bose sounddock on ebay to get this heli, I can't really afford it, but o'well I just loved the look of it so much, I sold my 450 like 3 weeks ago for £200 I kept the gyro, receiver, and transmitter, I still have my 500, the 500 is great but can sometimes be just be a little to big for some areas, thats why I wanted the 250, by the way, have you seen the new trex 450 pro, it looks like a mini version of the 500, the frame is the same.

  • from the centre of the servo as this is the best place & start with 25% gain max. Use the smaller Batman style blades, many cut there's down to 37mm long & Align have just released some this length as stock they are a tad too long. Pitch range, in idleUp2 I set -11 ~ 0 ~ +11 which is my full 3D setting. Reduce the low stick setting to -2 for your normal mode as you wont need all that pitch, especially if your a beginner. Email me if you have any other questions as it will be easier to chat. Ian

  • Thanks for replying so fast!! Umm you didn't give me the rest of your email address.

I saw your vid about using the spare ball to size the cups...after I had them all assembled that is lol, but hey, it's alearning experience for me as my first heli, Blade400 came ready to fly. I did use it after though as they were just too tight for my liking. Those are the pitch curves in manual aren't they? I tried those and the curve was all over the place on the transmitter graph.

  • Hey. No worries your welcome. Sorry, I tried to include my email but I find if I do the reply doens't get posted. I will send it to you via the message system here. Your idleup curve should be simply a straight line @ 45 degree's, as the maximum pitch range you will ever need is -11 bottom stick ~ 0 degree's pitch centre stick ~ +11 full stick. Your normal mode will be the same from mid stick upwards but shallower in the lower half. Ian

  • Wicked flying!! can you tell me what pitch curve values you rare using? I just got one, so still sorting things out, and I'm still new to the hobby. I'm using a DX6i radio and the stock super Combo set up. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Hey. Thanks for the compliment dude. Cool, you will love this little model when you get it flying as it's a cracking litte machine. As for some tip's make sure the tail rotor is free to move controleld by the servo and also if you can ease the links. I made a link sizing tool from a spare ball (cut some grooves in it to act as cutters) & one of the hex spacers supplied. Free the balls off just enough to move freely but not lose if you know what I mean. Keep the tail control ball 5mm out.....

  • Hey glmnet . Thanks for the compliment. The both of you will love this model. They are very nice, fun machines once setup but anyone with eCCPM experience will not have a problem setting one up. Batterys are not expensive as well, so that means you can buy a few for multiple flights. They also have the usual Align pricing which is value for money. You wont regret getting yourself one. Ian

  • I'll definitely get one of these. Very good Ian. 5 stars

  • Im thinking of buying one to.

  • Wicked flight as always Ian,nice one mate and thanks for sharing,5*

  • Thanks matey, glad you liked it. Ian

  • Looks awesome, im jealous, great video!

  • Thanks matey. Yeah it is a great machine, fun one at that. Ian

  • looks sooooo coool

  • It's the ideal size model for these indoor nights
