Its played in a wide area. In the Balkans it´s known as Anadolko in the Muslim Bosnian version and Ruse kose curo imas in the Serb version. Some say it´s of sephardic origin. Try searching Youtube with the aformentioned titles and You´ll hear its the same song as in this video.

I haven´t seen any good explanation to the origins of this song other than somebody suggesting it has sephardic roots which sounds plausible to my amateur ears.
