I think the beauty of this is that it is quite deep, a lot to read into which i think makes it an even more beautiful project. Having the rain as a constant works so well in developing the notion of memory: the ever present pitter patter which is much like memory itself: coming in shards and sprinkles rather than as one bucket full of water. It is tough to be left behind. This little video puts you in ALL the shoes. It is also difficult to sacrifice for friends who are in need, etc etc. I'm not a hipster. (= I just love someone who doesn't love me at the moment.

I think it is ploy on the part of the creators to get people to think. That seems to be the only redeeming quality of this video. I mean, it's the 21th century. We are only bound by our imaginations as far as art is concerned.

@MrGamingPhenom she didn't actually leave without coming back to get him if you stay after the credit. And in the beginning, the old lady who remain in town is actually that little girl. You can actually see the robot at 1:00. Basically everyone left town but she stayed behind with the robot. But yes it's pretty open up for interpretation. Friendship is sometimes very important to some people...

I like these films, but I have a feeling that all of the films with this style are exactly the same. Trying to be all artsy fartsy and use good animation.
But yeah it is still good, but nothing amazing or too new.
