  • got a 1992 f150 62,000 original miles and only time mine didnt start is when the alternator went out

  • I got almost 117 thousand out of my ranger i beat that thing like a red headed step child still going strong never let me down

  • it sounds nice for a city truck but my friend has real strait pips no cat back nothing to Make it quiet. it so dam Loud it sets of the car alarms

  • quick question do you happen to know if the temperature on these trucks always stay were needle is at in this video at 0:18 because i been wondering due to my trucks temp always runs on that same spot

  • what size piping you got?

  • what diameter of exhaust is that

  • its not straight piped, you can tell you still have stock cats, if you didnt it would sound like you have a rock raddling in your exhaust

  • how much is it to get a streight piped exhaust iwant it on my ford ranger

  • i wish my old truck woulda sounded this good without the mufflers, it just sounded like hell. of course it didnt have and cats and it had an aweful exhuast leak

  • dont you have spark plug problems with the 5.4

  • wow. this is a nice exhaust setup. lovin it. what year f-150..? 97...?

  • fuck the know it all haters there jelous they dont drive bad ass fords

  • nice man, sounds pretty mean. did you take the muffler off and do a y-pipe?

  • man should have got down on it

  • just an update: the truck has another 37,xxx miles on it since this video and still runs strong with no major problems

  • hey my dad had a 99 expedition right now 193xxx miles runnin strong never broke down once since we bought it 10 yrs ago ford+man=quality =)

  • only time my truck wouldnt start was when the dumbasses that work at midas broke the earth cable going to the starter while they were supposed to be replacing the exhaust manifolds which were a ripoff anyway. never go to midas.

  • @NissanNismoRacer

Right on!! My dads 99 Ford Expedition has around 195,800 miles and it's still running strong also they're built really well!

  • hey quick question i'm thinking about cutting the muffler off my 4.6 supercrew and welding a pipe in place of it. i already cut off the stock tip about halfway and put on a 4 inch tip that gives it a nice look. is this really loud with the windows up and radio and a/c on? like would it bug me a lot or would i hardley notice the sound? im still gonna leave the factory manifolds and cats on to have some back pressure tho :)

  • you wouldnt be able to notice it even

  • sweet alright man thanks!

  • this has to be a 4.6! and i get around 13 mpg with my 302 f150 too.

  • Yeah or not... Its a 5.4. Trust me, i would know

  • yea u gun my truck at 30 it gets sideways and all over the road.. too much torque for that light of a truck

  • redline that pig lets go

  • wow the sound gets really off the longer the video goes, probly youtube's fault but it annoys me when that happens. the truck has a nice sound though, its not the really annoying straight pipe sound like most.

  • 2000 f150 4.6 - straight pipes with cats. Sounds great. alot like this

  • if you have cats installed, it's not straight pipes...

  • can you repost this and if you do step on it i want to hear those pipes roar

  • straightpipes are the way to go!

  • my 93 f 150 with a 302 can get 20 to 21 on the highway and around 18 city if u drive it right...my father has a 2008 f 250 reg cab and can get 23 mpg and up to 25 on the highway if drove easy

  • ur getting 20-21 on the highway w/ ur 302? damn ur lucky im only gettin like 13-14 tops

  • thats not a 302

  • its a 281

  • or not. what makes you think that?

  • sorry thought it was a 4.6

  • could'nt be anything bigger than 281 it is very slow

    or so the movie depicts.

  • its 5.4

  • its a 5.4. its my truck guys, i would know. It looks slow because im not going very fast. amazing how that works. Everyone knows everything behind a keyboard....

  • my 4.6 is louder and i have cats... there is no way this is all pipe and no cats or muffler...

  • Who said all pipe and no cats or muffler?? Its got 4 cats and no muffler.

  • @bigredf150 well if you have cats its not considered straight piped...its cat- back straight..bc thats what i have on mine.. real straight piped exhuast means no cats and mufflers just pipe and of course tips

  • wow, you guys care way to much. Its factory exhaust with a straight pipe put in place instead of the muffler. Better?

  • dont get aggrovated dude, it sounds good regardless. Im getting an f150 real soon I cant wait.

  • yea it is..bc ppl that know nothing about exhuast and reads that its straight piped go and get thiers done and then are are like oh shit its to fuckin loud..and it just keeps ppl from askin..i look at it this was if someone is goin to take the time to post vid might as well make the description correctly

  • You can't completely straight pipe an f150 like mine or any of the newer ones without O2 simulators or turning the O2s off with a tune.

  • oops i accidentally spammed ur comment instead of replyingg... i was replying to blairbartletts comment a while ago....

  • about how many mpg does your truck or anybody elses ford f150 v8 get??

  • i only get like 13 maybe, if im lucky. but i just changed out, coils, plugs and injectors so we will see if it gets better. this is on a 5.4L, ext cab, 4x4

  • I get 18 in town (If easy on the gas) and 24 on Highway, But the way I drive 12.7 In town, 17 on highway (I love to gun it down roads :P) 2005 5.4L 3v F-150

  • ive got a 4.6 and i get 18 easy on the gas, true dual exhaust and just replaced the plugs and cleaned the throttle body

  • my 2000 f150 7700 4x4 with 5.4 and k&n fipk intake im lucky if i get like 16 in town. usually around 15 then on the highway its not to bad, usaully around 19 or 20 mpg.

  • i get about 13 avg with the 5.4, std. cab, long bed, 4x4

  • do you have mufflers or cats and what kind?

  • He says its straight piped. I assume its factory cats and no muffler but I could be wrong.

  • yeah, factory cats and piping without a muffler. looking into longtubes, highflows and maybe duals with an x pipe. got a nice exhaust leak id like to get rid of before winter.

  • u maxed out at 2500 rpm!

    still sounded good though

  • PUT UR FOOT ON THE GAS !!!!!!!!!! sweet though

  • no offense but cheese2507 has a point. the majority of people watching this want you to rack your pipes out. if you would on your next vid with this truck, find a spot you can get it up to about 4,000 rpm. then it will REALLY sound sweet.

  • i had a friend that had an f150 and he had dual straights on it with cats and it sounded great. one time i heard him around a mile and a half off when he guned on it. i wish taht i could have bought that truck so badly.

  • Look, the reason we watch this, bigredf150, is for you to floor it!

  • wrong.... the reason you say this is because you have crappy speakers! THIS is a perfect example of a great video! most camcorders cant pick up the real sound of a V8 or any other engine doing any more than waht 3000rpm, then it starts scattering, and sounding awful!

  • I apologise. My little brother hijacked my account and posted silly comments like the above. Please disregard.

  • awesome, youtube should have more videos like this one here! i love the auto box sluggering! :D

  • kinda gay...ya didnt even mash it...? All in all, sounded really sweet...!

  • STRAIGHT PIPES RULE!!!!
