But in 2007 when Martin is about to win the Daytona 500 and Clint Bowyer gets turned in front of the field on the final lap you don't throw a caution. Pocono Raceway should get rid of those armco barriers, repave the inside wall where it doesnt have those points where the wall sticks out and install safer barriers at pocono. thats just my personal opinion after the elliot sadler crash a couple weeks back.

Mike Helton is a smart man and i do think they will install catch fences in the short shute and the pond straightaway because he wouldnt want one of his cars going over the walls and in to that embankment on the other side.

@Mrforthoseabout2rock Catch fences are to keep debris out of the spectators, not to stop cars. A Catch fence is not needed there, as there are no spectators there. Catch fences can be very dangerous if a car gets into it.

It is an accepted fact that there is only so much you can do... cars will get airborne here and there at high speed no matter what.... whether it be because of aero, contact, or both.

This has to do with extreme blunt force and kinda ramping off of martin and biffles car. Nascar wanted to keep the cars on the ground as much as they could. They knew it wasn't going to be 100% fixed. But they wanted to keep the cars on the ground for when they spin backwards. Do some research before you go and bash nascar
