  • @Locke2007

It isn't an Atari 2600 TV Advertisment ;)

  • Look , the TV shows the... Colocovision's Smurfs game!

  • @PissedPlayinPimp Smurf yeah

  • @PissedPlayinPimp I was jus smurfing around man,friends?

  • @PissedPlayinPimp How the smurf you gonna say that to me?:(

  • @PissedPlayinPimp Man,Smurf you!

  • SMURF EM ALLL!!!!!

  • It would be extremely difficult to Smurf a spider.

  • keep clicking on 0:16. It says my friend's last name. It says Snider.

  • That old dudes a smurfing smurfin morsmurf. Smurf it!

  • "Now kids, get out of the room while I look for this game's "Easter Egg""

  • SMURF THE SKULL!

  • smurfarific!

  • SMURF 'UM ALL!

  • Sucks they advertised it for Intellivision but never released it. Prob would have been very similar to the Coleco I would guess

  • How the hell could anyone see this and mistake it for the cartoon? ¬_^

    Blind idiot

  • smurfs graphis were the crysis of the 2600

  • That was Un-Smurerific. Infact, I thought it just plain Smurfed! You have to be out of your Smurfing mind to think it was a great game.

  • Weird. I don't even remember that game. It must have sucked as bad as E.T.

  • @lastwolflord It did, but for the day, games like this were about the best you got in way of adventure games. the best game from that whole series of adventure type games was Pitfall II, an Activision Triumph. Nintendo was the real adventure game ground breaker. Atari couldn't keep up.

  • Wow the Coleco vision version looks a lot better than the 2600 version. It really isn't a bad game, I think it's just too cute to dislike it as well.

  • yeah there was no cool skulls in the atari one lol

  • "SMURF THEM ALL!" hahahaha, yeah I wonder what word HE replaced with 'Smurf' (hint: it starts with "FU" & ends with "CK").

What a bunch of blueballs == the Atari 2600 version of this game has got to be one of the biggest piles of 'smurf' ever conceived. They can pretty much all go 'smurf' themselves until they're blue in the face for making THIS damn game.

  • This old Atati video game is very Smurfy! Was this commercial made back in the year 1981 or 1982?

  • Mind you, this is just A Smurf, not SmurfS, plural. Games were too low-tech back in the day to feature multiple Smurfs. I believe the game is actually called "Smurf!", with an exclamation mark. Which means that it's either an expletive or a Broadway musical.

  • smurf you all!

  • Oh my god, is that Joey Lawrence and the kid from the first season of Charles in Charge?! AWESOME!

  • I actually enjoy this game, both then and now. The Super NES Smurfs game is better, but it is really challenging.

  • Recently heard it and played it, it sucks arse. The 8-bit NES and the SNES versions are so much better.

  • I remember that shitty game and the coleco vision console, damn i'm old.

  • Dude this is sick, but watching FULL-LENGTH hi-res quality EPISODES of your favorite '80s cartoons every day is even sicker! Just Google: 'Nostalgia Manila' and you'll find the blog. Now playing: Thundercats, The New Adventures of Batman, Silverhawks, The Smurfs, and Merrie Melodies! More titles added soon! Spread the word kids!

  • What in the smurf? What the smurf was this smurf? When did they smurf this smurf, and why is it they're smurfing so much smurf smurfing it? The smurf was smurfy, "Smurf them all!"

  • Smurf all those smurfer smurfin smurfs of smurfers.

  • Talk about nostalgia... wow

  • Lol, i hated that fence :-)

  • I gots me a ColecoVision! I am gonna preserve it, but I ain't gonna use it! It is a collector's item!

  • That game looks sucking! LOL

  • I hade this game in the 80s on my atari.

  • I think that's Joey Lawrence who's speaking to the father at the end of the commercial.

  • the title of this post should be changed to Colecovision. I had the smurf game for Atari and it was fun even if the graphics we not as good.

  • This was a fun game i used to play it at sears while my parents shopped.

  • The smurf of atari 2600 were more much graphic poor that this...

  • Most games made by thrid party publishers for the Atari 2600, usally did have poor graphics, this was usally due to the fact that the Atari 2600 only had 4K of RAM, while the Colecovision had 16K, and the Intellivision 11K.

  • no, the atari can have 4 KB of ROM in cartridge, it had only cca 128 BYTES OF RAM

  • Yes, My mistake

  • Sorry, that's still slightly wrong. With bank switching, you can do more than 4 KB. The Smurf cartridge on the 2600, for instance, is 8 KB long. The Colecovision version is 16 KB, and the Intellivision version never appeared.

  • Very game commericals at the time liked to us the system that was closet at hand, and/or the one that had the best graphics.

On the other hand I own a copy of that game, this morning I figured out how to beet it. (Hint - when jumping over tall objects, jump up once then emiditaly jump again in the direction that you want).

  • thats a colecovision not atari, notice the kids controller.

  • thats actually for the colecovision, notice the kids controller.

  • i think i had something like that on gameboy...omg

  • @TrueGamerPlayer No, why would you even say that? Thats kind of fucked up.
