  • Sonic and Super Mario

  • The best Game Ever

  • I loved this game!

  • Thanks it was magic!

Saudades!

  • OH THE MEMORIES, THE NOSTALGIA! IT'S ALL TOO MUCH! BLARRRRRRRGH!

  • Masters play the Master system! n00bs play the Nintendo

  • Masters play whatever they want, n00bs judge people based solely on the console they play.

[Genesis, Game Gear, Dreamcast, Game Boy, Gameboy Advance, SNES, Gamecube, Ps2, Ps3, and original XBox for the win]

  • M8 they are some SICK vids still brings a smile to my face even 20 years on !!!!! RETRO GAME PLAY IS THE WAY FORWARD !! peace out brother :-)

  • I completed this and the second one only yesterday without dying or even getting hit on this one (don't worry I'm not knocking your vid!).

Always amazes me how you just don't forget some things nearly 20 years on. And they're still frickin ace games

  • I couldn't complete this when i was 10 and I still cant now, Maybe that's why I dont play video games anymore, Cuz I SUCK at them :)

  • bons tempos e master system 3.

  • @DoubutsuNoMoriFan You got that right, dude!

  • Is it sad that I know every single secret/glitch/every intricate detail of this game and have completed it countless times on my old original Master System!!?

  • the only level I couldn't find a life was the final boss

  • @89moonboy You only get the "hidden" life at the start of the level if you have 3 or less lives remaining.

  • @blackovermind Thanks, I never knew that. I usually have 9 at the start of the final boss level.

  • I found it very hard to play that game. I played almost three years he never quite completed the game. I was 10 years old.......

    Goood Player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the easist sms game i've ever played, but also one of the best!

  • This was so great. The final level really breath the atmosphere of 'the final level'. High in the sky, little space for error, needed had-eye coördination from different ; enemies (cannons and electricity).

One could argue about act 2's leveldesign though. Because i you want the chaos emerald, you won't see a pretty big part of the level with some stuff that can't be seen elsewhere in the game.

  • @kenjuma Agreed, I was thinking that yesterday, its irritating how the easy route gets you the emerald whereas the other route is challenging and then you can't finish the game properly. Bit odd

  • LMAO @ 1:27 Orbinaut caught you with your pants down. That sneaky little bastard...

  • @DoubutsuNoMoriFan yes, you are right

  • sky base act 2 leap of faith much?

  • really hard end boss!

  • nostalgia..

    master system III!

  • joguei muito esse jogo na minha infancia

  • WOW! Awesome videos of the game, I have always liked it.

  • When I complete this game, I don't get to see this final scene (Sonic singing & credits). And I always collect all the esmeralds... Why??? I wanna see this scene on my Master System too!!!!!!!

  • if it's built into your master system then you won't see that screen. I believe only the cartridge version has the full ending.

  • This was the first game I ever completed as a kid. I still have it in it's original box.

I have just remembered that once you have beat the game and watched the end credits, you had to reset the console because it didn't take you back to the title screen.

  • Wow I had this game

    Thanks for post

  • ...This version is a lot harder than the Game Gear version. Congratulations to Robotnik, he has always been the fastest human on Earth

  • I would love for Sega to do an HD remix of the game. I would love to also see all of the enemies in both the Sega Master System/Sega Game Gear and Sega Genesis/MegaDrive versions of this game. Also, I would love to see a level layout something like this: Green Hill Zone Bridge Zone Jungle Zone Marble Zone Labyrinth Zone Spring Hill Zone Starlight Zone Scrap Brain Zone Sky Base Zone Final Zone What do you guys think of my suggestions? Please let me know your answers. Thanks.
  • i think they shud. just be interesting 2 c all those levels again and almost throwing by pad the screen again

  • Which Labyrinth, and which Green Hill?

  • They should combine both the Sega Master System/MegaDrive I/Game Gear and Sega Genesis/MegaDrive II versions of the Green Hill Zone and Labyrinth Zone into their respective areas as well as making them all bigger in general, SubconsciousAlive.

  • You rule at this game!!!!

  • its a shame you cant get the end music as a ringtone

  • every time i complete the game, it freezes before it gets to the credits, maybe because i didnt collect all the emeralds

  • on that last stange i always took the long way instead on jumpin on those moving platforms and always wondering why i couldnt get the last emerald

  • I love this final music :D

  • its different on mega collection, there was some burners instead od the electric thingy at the end. Nice work though.

  • I remember one time getting stuck on robotnics glass. Awesome error. 5/5

  • After all this time, I still love the classic Sonic games. The song and graphics brings back memories of playing these after school trying to beat them. It's amazing how the 2D sidescrolling Sonic games have evolved to the present day though. Even so, I still love playing the Genesis, Game Gear and Master System Sonic games... and watching them. Thanks. :)

  • Hmm, is it me or does part of the end credits song remind you guys of the Sonic and Knuckles opening theme song on the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive?

  • A bit, yeah. I like how they remixed the credits in Sonic Unleashed as well; it features in Mazuri.
