@ondreamonique really my corn snake is really old and she's never struck at me once she can recognize the mouse from the hand. if you ever do get a bite, a credit card to slide gentle and slowly open the mouth to avoid the backwards angled teeth.

A tip. If you can get your snake to eat dead food, do it. I learned that the hard way... My old ball python got attacked by a rat. It was so bad that i had to put him down :(

yea its not natural.. but feeding it live things is what keeps a snake happy.

it gets fed and has the joy of killing its prey. everything except mating. its just a mouse. there's billions of those things. feeling bad for the death of a mouse is OK.

anyone calling this 'natural' feeding needs to get a clue..where in the wild do rodents get put in a small box with no chance of escape? In the open, the mouse would have a good chance of escaping or never running into a snake..you have to admit, dropping a live mouse into the box is pretty nasty....and Unnatural...:p
