  • just a great song..sad with a msg!

  • hold on robin, hold on love you

  • Please if you really are Christians, prove it with sharing your banquets with the poor, like The Lord Jesus Christ said to all those who held banquets. It would be so easy for you to write out checks for millions of dollars to the Red Cross or the United Nations, do you REALLY believe in Heaven? If you won't write those checks while alive, put it in your Last Will, it will help the poor and it will help you too, after you "die", when your souls are released from the physical, in the Afterlife.

  • man! now this is what you call real music, truly beautiful!

  • Why does Robin keep holding his ear? lol For a quick second I thought he was in a recording studio.

  • @lyricaldose They are close to other sources of sound (like guitars, drums, etc.) It enables them to hear their own voice. If you have seen what might look like hearing aides in their videos, these work the same as putting your hand over your ear. Might look it up on the internet to get a better definition. A lot of singers use them.

  • cool bass! Rickenbacker.

  • great song :)

  • A wonderful group with a uniquely distinctive sound. Please don't leave us Robin. The BeeGees music always brings a smile to my face and has for thirty years!

  • this is the perfect slow and make out song

  • The Bee Gees are singing live, however the backing track is the record. They would have run off a version in the studio, minus lead vocals for TV performances.

  • Hold on, Robin, hold on! God's blessings on you, mate!

  • i looove this song soo much :)

  • they are the best !!!

  • why is the Geico caveman in a 70's pop group???

  • @kgraham15 .....shut up! you are a wannabee!

  • I gotta get a message to you....still after forty years...

  • Hold on! Who cares. their forever living legends of everlasting lyrics

  • I love Robins jacket

  • esta chido no saben

  • The music track might be pre-recorded but I think they're singing live....

  • @mlkbeat doofus this is a completely live performance

  • @JJMFB1 Anyone that starts a sentence with doofus certainly needs to be taken seriously. First of all I said "might" because it was not unheard of in those days. If it is ALL live as you are coompletly certain, then they did one hell of job replecating the sound of the drum track from the orginal recording. Plus, usually a live performance comes up with a clean ending. In this case the music faded out at the end.

  • @mlkbeat

ITS SUPPOSED TO FADE YOU MUPPET

  • @vlsp7982 You're right! On the record, it's supposed to fade.

  • Respond to this video... ITS SUPPOSED TO FADE YOU KNO

  • There was a BeeGee song something about being trapped in a mine. Anyone remember what it was?

  • @Hassar600 New York Mining Disaster 1941

  • Personally, I like them both and think their unique. But still prefer the early Stones. ;)

  • great band great song writers

  • I agree, I was born 1960 the youngest of 5 children and all my memories of music from my childhood are my older sisters and brother always singing Bee Gees, in fact when I got married for the 3rd time our song was I Don't Wanna Be Alone, they are the best performers and song writers ever

  • Come back when you have a semblance of education...you simple prick!

  • Me too! Ever notice how many of the love songs could be sung in the person of Jesus or Moses?

  • I THINK SO TOO,AS THEIR LYRICS ARE SO UP TO DATE AND SO EVER LASTING! THEY CUT ACROSS THE AGE AND ERA DIVIDE.....ONE CAN AT LEAST HEAR WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.

  • One of my favortie songs by one of my favorite groups. I just wish they were'nt lip syncing...

  • Never be a group like this, ever again!

  • Okay so get this i'm twelve and love the Beegees, not Justin Bieber(:

  • Trying to compare the Bee Gees to the Beatles and vice versa is weird. They were both brilliant song writers and live performers. There music was different which made them so great and made them both an important part of our music history.

With both Groups suffering great personal tragedy in their lives I think we should just sit back and enjoy the music

  • The Midnight Special and Don Kirshners rock concert. Watched those shows every Fri and Sat night growing up. Miss those days. Now I am subjected to Ice Road Truckers, guys running a pawn shop or a guy trying to eat a 10 lb cheeseburger. If that bores me there is always real house wifes of New Jersey or the Jersey Shore. TV is pathetic.

  • These guys are great, I seen them in the Yellow Submarine, I LOVE Them, Your Royal Countess, Tammy Mast, Savior Healer, SMILE

  • Why didn't those bastards give them a STANDING-O ?

  • ik,stop,you,don,t,need,me,now,not,alone,i,m,not,really,alone,wel,raar,laat,nu,1van,hen,me,eens,bellen,ik,praat,zo,vandaan,savonds,doe,ik,niet,meer,jy,hebt,company,my,love,je,loog,al,die,tyd,jy,was,nooit,alone,ik,baal,ervan,ik,kan,morgenavond,ook,eens,uit,hoe,jullie,leven,deed,ik,met,23,

  • SOOOOOOO RIGHT!! Soooooo much better than the Beattles!

  • Always a killer Vibrato, Robin's voice is ONE of a KIND!! Sweet Mo.. So Quiet and Shy! And Flamboyant Barry! Sexy, with a voice unmistakeable and a Face and body that exudes Sex appeal!! What a Band!!!

  • ROBIN YOUR ARE FANTASTIC

  • Hell yea ,bee gees are wayyyy beta then the beatles !!!

  • Bee Gees are in no way shape or form, better than the Beatles... but neither is any other group. The Bee Gees are without a doubt one of the best groups of all time, and much more than just the disco group the uneducated take them for.

  • @kroft67 The Bee Gees make the Beatles look like novices, they have far more talent.

  • These three are timeless and their harmonies stay in your mind. What I mean is, I could imagine them singing that same poetic song today, 1,000 years ago in medieval times, or 1,000 years into the future. They would fit in any generation, that's what makes the Bee Gees so great!

  • OH, Robin , you are the best of the best..there is a soul in your sound in you voice. I love you so much ..

  • RAARfietsman, I agree 100%!! I've been a BEE GEE's fan for over 30 years!!!!

  • This video just proves that bands back then were actually talented and could sing and preform without today's stupid technology. Back then everything was raw and it sounded better than today's trash.

  • The Bee Gees were simply beyond parity.

  • thanks for the info'''

  • exelentee they from the isle of man between england and ireland where being GAY is still ileagal and they still adminster the BIRCH A WHIP AS FORM OF PUNISHMENT.....tripps fuckers

  • Love you Robin!!

  • why the hand on the ear?

  • @purselady2

purely for tuning purposes, they were harmonious singers.

  • Great song...

  • i'm going through a Bee Gees obsession....can't stop listening to them all day!

  • wow ,, ang cute talaga ni robin ,,

  • I cant stop listening to the BEE GEES all day every day;;; all night ;;;every night

am i the only one? ;; I just had to get that message to U

  • so; the guy to the left and the guy in the middle are twins?

  • oh i see ;;;why he puts his hand over his ear

  • We would all have to face this alone, at least he had a preacher to walk with him that last mile. At least he got the bastard first though eh!

  • This is one of the first records I ever bought. I loved the Bee Gees till they went disco. But even their disco stuff is superior.

  • he puts his hand over his ear ;;so he can hear himself sing better right?

  • @purselady2 wrong there are a couple of singers Robin PJ Proby who have trouble on high notes with their inner ear

  • so much hair..... Wow...

  • There is music for every liking out there & if everything sounded the same, life would be boring. I am sure that you might like music that I don't. Give it a break as no one group is perfect! Are you?

  • What does your comment mean about freaks pretending to have human emotions???

  • Robin always had the most distinctive voice out of the three brothers. I love them all. The Bee Gee are just as great as The Beatles. Exceptional vocal and writing geniuses. We miss you Maurice and their brother Andy.

  • what is this about

  • There's something about this song that makes me very emotional, something very deep, it pains me

  • NO this is not GOOD;;;;;;;;;;ITS MORE THAN GOOD'

    infact;;;;ITS FANTASTIC

  • damn this song is good,..

  • I started a joke

  • Well well well. I disagree. I think the beatles are the all time best group ever. If you see them from the start, you may agree. I believe there are many great gorups that come close like. Elvis, Neil Diamond, the Bee Gees, Olivia Newton John jst to name a few. If one looks at these and their accomplishments, you may agree they are some of the very best. But the beatles were phenominum. Too bad they dont make songs like this anymore. Then you have other great artist with only a few great hits

  • @calivita77 Thank you for pointing that out. I agree 100%.

  • J'adore tout particulièrement Robin ici:son interprétation est juste sublime,il vit la chanson et son timbre de voix si particulier est à tomber....

  • this is the original right? if yes then AWESOME

  • Where have all the years gone? I remember this song as a kid, seems like only yesterday.

  • gee'''' they all look soo TaLL

  • THIS.... IS what I CALL EXCELLENT;;

    but whats it about?

  • Now this is what you call music! Just love these Guys.

  • This was one of the Bee Gees "1960s" hits that pre-date the disco crap that many of you here on you-tube hate so much. In the 60s this group is seminal in the use of operatic/symphonic rock that is the inspiration for such act as Meatloaf to name one. IF you are interested in their best work check out the pre Saturday Night Fever music. Oh PS.... Disco & Rap SUCK!!!

  • which guy passed? and why) dont know thier names

  • like the music have to listen to it a few more times to get a feel of it barry sounds a little like andy gibb

  • Not crazy about the disco stuff, although I don't hate it,,,,,, but this cheers my ass up. It just hits the spot. Going to watch " To Love Somebody" now cause it keeps the vibe.

  • Jung,schön, super Song

  • Dios, que vozarrón el de Robin y Barry!!! Como siempre bellos y encantadores...y Barry, una vez más, ayer, hoy siempre nos derrite a las mujeres!!!! Barry is ....para comerselo!!!!

  • just my opinion but I think that the bee gees are WAYYYYYYYY better than the Beatles!!

  • @RAARfietsman Just my opinion, but I happen to agree with you.

  • @17DJLOVER don't know if better, but definitely to their same level. Bee Gees lyrics and harmony are out of this world!! I think their Disco Era did a little bit of damage to their legacy.

  • @RAARfietsman Thank you for you said that, and I'm with you all the way for what you've said.

  • @loannalam And what is that going to change? Everyone is going to have their different opinions, but the bottom line is that there were many talented bands out there, not just one. The Beatles and the Bee Gees were two of them.

  • @sapphiretaurus , Yes, I do agreed with you on this, it just the my opionions to fit my taste of the music and songs, of course, if people are to like their favoite bands or singers, then they would to say however they want to say to supported, but if the band or the singers sung good or not , they may not too much to care about, yes, in fact, they are both very good bands back then, but I like these guys more than the others, and nothing that I can do to change any one's favorite music.

  • Comment removed

  • @RAARfietsman It doesn't matter. They were both good. There's room for everyone. The Beatles also did haunting harmonies like these guys did. When the Beatles were at their peak, these guys were just starting out and doing the same pop and rock that many bands of the time were doing.

  • @RAARfietsman

love the bee gees but wayyyy better then the beatles is saying alot, but i respect your opinion

i just do not agree with way better but thats the great thing about music everyone has their own favorites

    be cool

  • @RAARfietsman

i just do not agree with way better but thats the great thing about music everyone has their own favorites

    be cool

but i will say when i was a kid this was my favorite song

  • @BeatlesCoverzzJGPR The Bee Gees were great the beatles were good, and Ronnie Van Zant and original Skynyrd were beyond comparison

  • @Novaheart1998 The Bee Gees songwriting ability and vocals were so superior to the Beatles, they had hits all over the world at the age of just 17, pehaps you can tell me what massive hits the Beatles enjoyed at the same age?

  • @Orky210 I agree entirely far more talent at such an early age, if you look at early Beatles albums they all had songs written by other songwriters, the Bee Gees never had to resort to that they wrote so many classic songs at such an early age.

  • @Orky210 listen, you can go on all you like about the Bee Gees, and I love the Bee Gees so I don't need a history lesson from you, give me a break, however I still say the Beatles were the greatest band of all time, and nobody will convince me or about 1 billion others of that fact.

  • @Novaheart1998 I dont think anyone is trying to convince you that either band is better, they are just stating their musical preference, this is after all a Bee Gees forum, what more can you expect from Bee Gees fans? I prefer the Bee Gees too, so what, you are entitled to your opinion.

  • @17DJLOVER ok, fair enough!

  • @RAARfietsman you are so RIGHT!!!! And they didn't let a woman come between them.

  • Viele schreiben hier in englischer Sprache!

  • does someone know what is the story behind this song ??? thank u

  • @dpy107 I beleive the Wikipedia article for the song explains it all. From my recolection...The song is about a man who is condemed to death for killing his wifes lover. The preacher is walking him "the last mile" to the execution chamber. It is too late for phone calls or conversations, so he is asking the preacher to take a message to his wife. Very powerful. The inspiration came after a big fight with his wife (can't remember who wrote it).

  • @republocrat90 -Wow, is that a story about this song, then what a inspiration to sinners, and it's such so inspire me by listen the message through this song, it's a real and truly a message to us, thanks.

  • @republocrat90 It's amazing how many people have never heard this song and what's more haven't a clue wha the songs about.Thank's for explaining it to th unknowin masses.
