Obviously, those of you who do not like South Bend haven't traveled much. I've been all over the USA, Europe, Australia, and Africa. South Bend is very average, if not better, than the majority of other places in this world. Don't put South Bend to shame until you've actually experienced more of what lies outside.

I live in California but look back at South Bend with a special fondness. Agreeably S.Bend can be a tad boring but life in most little city across the globe is also a "little boring".

The problem w/ California is.....70% of the people in California can't speak English. Too many mish mash of immigrants and illegals. No sense of cultural unity here.

Sometimes boredom is preferrable to chaos. Besides, Los Angeles is the land of 8 car lanes each way and bumper to bumper traffick.

South Bend is another sad example of a once industrial city with good paying jobs that has now been reduced to a poor town full of joe jobs that most people want to get away from. Looks more like Buffalo, NY all the time.

I love South Bend, so much history and it used to be one of the most industrial towns in the Country. I live in the rich community of Granger just north east of there. Voted one of the nicest suburban areas in the US.

Well lets see when I lived in South Bend I had a job paying $8 an hour and a crappy $400 apartment. Now I am in Tennessee makeing over $70,000 a year and own a nice house.  I would never have this in SOuth Bend.
