If you're in a gym you can do this exercise on the cable by using the straight bar and puliing the cable from between your legs. Otherwise try doing with yur back up against a wall to help give you something to lean against to stop the rocking.
Also look at maybe making the weight a little lighter if you can't control it properly. Always pick form over weight! :-)
Should your arms be extended all the way or do you leave some slack? I have very long arms, and when I put the bar all the way in front, it strains my body and throws off my balance..
